Are you on a nasal spray by any chance? If so, there's your answer. (And bloody noses too ) Just a shot in the dark. Otherwise. take at least 2000mgs of Vitamin C, and gargle with hot salt water. By the way, I was on "Nasonex.", and got those symptoms. Hope someone here helps you. If not , you have to go to a doctor!! Could be something serious. Good luck, my dear. :)

First make sure it's not infectious (fever, phlegm, nodes on the side of neck). If it is, then antibiotics should be started. If its just due to irritation then warm salty water gargle (1/4 tsp salt in a glass of warm water) in morning and before sleep, increased fluid intake, losenges and voice rest should work. If no improvement in 2-3 days, see your doctor.

For temporary relief of a sore throat without utilizing alot of money? If you have tea in your house and honey, that will do the trick. The honey is thick enough that it coats the throat, however not recommended for children (6 or below). It has worked for me. I have heard of other remedies, id est, lemon juice, salt water, etceter...I never tried them. Also check out this site fior other ideas. http://www.ehow.com/tips_9506.html

Fix a glass of the hottest water you can stand, and mix in lots and lots of salt. Gargle with this, and it will relieve the symptoms! What causes the soreness is swelling - the salt draws the extra water out of the throat tissues.

This is a GREAT home remedy -- make a gargle of cayenne pepper and warm water. The capsacin in the cayenne pepper will give you instant relief, better than any OTC lozenge or throat spray I've ever tried. My kids even ask for this gargle when they have a sore throat.

Hot liquids (like tea with honey in it) and you can also gargle using a teaspoon of salt in a glass of water but do not swallow it. It tastes awful but it does help if you do it about 2 to 3 times a day.

My doctor told me once, to gargle some dissolveable aspirin ( do not exceed dose).
Or try some strepsils they have a numbing affect on your throat.
Hope that helps!!
