That's so sweet. Me and my Mom have similar tattoos. We got them together. When I was younger I didn't have a really good relationship with my Mom. As I grew older she became my best friend. Now we are inseparable. So we got tattooed together. We both have a japanese symbol on our foot. Mine says "her daughter" and her says "her mother". We also got little flowers along side of the symbol. I love when people ask me what it means. I go into this long story about me and my mom and I always get an "awww that's so sweet". Haha! So I would say design something yourself. It could be a symbol or an object that means something to both of you. Maybe you share a similar interest or you both like the same flower. Or maybe you could get each other's astrology sign. Hope I could help! :) Good luck!

In my own opinion, a tattoo should have sinifigant meaning, its with you for life, you don't want to get something you will regret, never get a tatoo off the wall, make sure it means something, like a combination of 3 things that are special to each one of your kids, or something that can represent them all, if you get a tattoo with no real meaning behind it, you will eventually regret it. I also suggest getting in a place where it can be shown with diginity yet hidden when needed as well. You want to get something that you will be able to look at and enjoy for the rest of your life, that has meaning, that you can explain to your children when hey are older. I wouldn't go with a character they love right now, I would go with something that means something to you about your children, as children grow they natrually will no longer love the characters and such that they do now, and so you tattoo would end up out dated, and less meaningful, so go with a meaning or a concept that is timeless that will stick with you and your children through out life. I like the clover Idea... but make it something that means something to you.

My Mom and I just recently got hummingbird tattoos together. I got two on my chest to start my chestpeice and she got the same one a little smaller on her shoulder. They turned out great. We chose a hummingbird because my grandmom, my mom, and i have always been facinated by them and love to have them around the house.

Me & my mom got matching tattoos on our feet. We both got coi fish. You should get something that represents you both. I did some researching to see if there was some type of symbol that represents mother and son but i didnt see any. talk to your mom about it and see if there is anything that represents you both. good luck
