This guy i used to like would always pick on me and tried to get my attention. But acted all shy when it was just me and him and he would keep staring at me. But when he with me and his or my friends he acts like a jerk to me and embarrasses me. And now he talks to other girls who are his friends and talks to them all nice and he is always mean to me. I don't get this guy...is he weird or what?

he probably likes you and doesn't know how to act around you and how to treat you. just be a friend to him and he should come around to treating you better.

The real problem here - as you say - is that acts like a jerk and embarrasses you. Nobody should go through this for any reason, because it sounds like he is using you to elevate himself amongst his friends. That is cruel.

Pure and simple, this guy is using you to inflate his ego and make you look bad in the process. He's all nice when you're alone and then treats you bad in front of others. Run, do not walk towards the nearest door and FORGET about him. You do not need that kind of person in your life!

Just be upfront with him and ask him why he behaves like this......he might be shy to let others know that he likes you....
