And why and how did you become that religion or beleife? what makes you proud to be that religion? and why do you beleive in it?

Your thoughts please? read mine if you wish.

Im not any specific religion and i dont intend to be, i have my own beleifes but i beleive in bits and peices from a collection of religions, and my own thoughts...It all pretty much sums up that im proud and gifted to be alive. to be positive and good to others and you will receive that in return. have full faith and beleife in your self and no doubts and you can't go wrong. respect that everyone has there own thoughts and opinions and that there beleifes are no more wrong than yours...you may not agree with them but its not up to you to tell them how to think. I love being alive and i love experiencing it, and observe the life around me. I also think the way you think and your thoughts can be a very powerful thing, as everything is a state of thought. my god is everything and all that exists.

I'm unofficially (I'll explain why in a few) Christian/Baptist. I believe in the one and only true, almighty God. I chose to believe in Him because the Bible tells me that if I believe then I will have life, peace, and happiness....it hasn't yet proven me wrong.

I am proud of this religion because not only does it have a rich and cultural background, it also can help me know what lays ahead and be rest assured.

The reason that I'm unofficially part of this religion is because I was baptised as a baby to be in the Catholic faith. Over the years, I have grown further andd further away from this religion because of it's background and it's past. Also, I was no longer being spiritually satisfied or motivated to attend mass or anything. However, when I was introduced to the Baptist faith I felt moved and compelled to praise God for all that he's done for me. And that, in my opinion, is how it should be.

My parents, however, think otherwise. They feel that I shouldn't change religions until I am "mature enough to make such a decision". I am 16 years old! But I won't get into that...

wow we have a lot in common. I really do not claim a religion but I do believe in the father, the son, and the holy ghost and believe in speaking in tongues. Because I know so much about different religions I like bits and pieces from each one and my out look has changed towards what I grew up in. Since I know I commit sin now and then, I refuse to go to church and pretend to be something I'm not.

There is nothing wrong with going to church but I feel I get just as much from the bible at home and a better understanding of it by reading it my self than if I went to church and listen to someone who might explain it in a way I disagree with in their interpatation. So I pray and I feel the spiritual presences of God and know he is all around me.

He has protected me many times and has protected and blessed my family several times and I am very grateful and give him all the credit due because without him, there would be nothing.

However, I also believe God is very mercifull and has a big heart and will look away at the many inperfections that are bestowed upon me.

Another reason I don't go to church is because it is mostly about politics and pre judgments. I don't need that in my life or my familys life. God is the only one who does the judging in my beliefs.

Anyway, we are all equal and will all be saved if we all believe in Christ because he died on the cross for us all.

I don't have a religion, I'm pretty sure God doesn't exist, I kind of wish he did so i could live on past life, into the after life....
But using all the common sense and obvious reality around myself, and the Extreme lack of evidence, and the butchering of the bible, and the Extremely poor translation as well as the

UNBELIEVABLE AND UNEXPLAINABLE level, of poor intelligence that mankind had during the writings of the bible, that it simply could of been a recollection of extraordinary events that are misunderstood or perhaps even Dreams. The dialog was different than today, and the three consecutive numbers 666 were mistranslated.....my Own writings have more validity than that...honestly. I've just come to the conclusion that God is ridiculous and obviously fake. so obvious it's ridiculous just ridiculous. it's probably obnoxious.

I am Wiccan, I have been Wiccan for 15 years.

I started out as Catholic. By my late teens I wasn't really sure if I had found "the Way" so I started looking to get closer to God, and I started going to different churches, counseling with ministers, going to Bible studies. This went on a few years. I was always praying for God to help me find the right path to bring me closer to Him, to show me the best way to understand Him, and then someone threw a book about Wicca in my lap. I had never heard of it before, but every day it kept coming up on the TV, in the news, more books would catch my attention. After prayers and meditations I realized that God (or Goddess, or the Great Spirit, whatever you want to call the Divine) had led me to the right path for me, the way to get closer to Him. And now I am.

I believe that everything is part of deity. I believe that it is more a force of nature than a being, and it came about as the total sum of this material world (not a creator). This makes me a variation of Pantheist.

I also believe that science tells us the nature of the universe (hence deity) and I'm fine with admitting that anything not proven is speculative. This is why all religions/spiritualities are absurd to me (including my own) and that also is perfectly fine with me.

I am proud of my beliefs mainly because they are not set in stone. I am perfectly willing to change my beliefs as I learn more, and that allows me to grow.

I believe because I have experienced deity. It is a strange thing, changing forms all the time. I would be lying if I said that I Know what it is or really much of anything about it at all. I just know that it exists and that it is amazing.
I believe this because it does not contradict anything proven (that I know of--if anyone knows of something, message me, I enjoy being challenged) and it meshes well with my experiences.

If you care to hear more, message me on Y!IM or private message... : )

Or, of course, you could consult your pineal gland.

My thoughts a very similar to yours. I was raised a member of the Assembly of God church and went to a Lutheran parochial school. I'm an Atheist now, but my code of ethics when it comes to dealing with this life and people is the one that I heard Christians professing. I rarely saw them follow it with any regularity though. I try to, and not for some reward when this life is over. I do it because it works pretty well in this life. I do not believe in anything supernatural whatsoever.

I'm Mormon and I have to admit that I was born into it, but don't think that I follow blindly. Once I got to be about eight I wanted to learn for myself rather than relying on my parent's testimony. I did find out for myself and I know that the teachings of my church are true. I AM proud to be LDS. How could you not feel good about doing what you feel is right?

I believe that Jesus is the son of the Almighty Most High God. He came to earth to redeem mankind from sin and reconcile humanity to the Father. He died once for all mankind. That we are saved by grace and we could do nothing to earn our salvation. That we must accept the sacrifice of Christ to be washed clean of our sins. Then we must confess our sins and acknowledge how sinful we are. This must be done with a sincere heart. The Lord will forgive us and must live a life as Christ like as we can possibly get.It is not religion that redeems us, it is the blood of Christ.
God is a God of love and forgiveness. This does not mean He will not judge sin. Sin is what separates us from God. He must judge sin. The Bible says that all will stand before the throne to give an account one day....all, no exemptions! The Bible says all have sinned. The only thing that will save us on that day is whether we have accepted the atonement provided for our sins. Jesus Christ. He paid the price for our sins....all we have to do is accept him. We are not saved by works, we are saved by grace only! There is no way anyone can work his way into heaven!

Well, you asked what we believed and I never pass up a chance to tell others what the Lord has done for me! I have respect for the thoughts of others, however I am eager to share what my beloved Savior has done for me! What he has done for me, he will do for anyone! It is a free gift! Because of His great love for us! I can brag about nothing except who I am in Christ. I am a redeemed daughter of the Most High God who was washed clean by the precious blood of the Lamb!

I don't subscribe to any religion... I'm atheist.

I'm very proud of myself for thinking my way out of the nonsense and fantasy offered by religions. There is nothing else to add to this. Its simply the logically derived truth... there is no god and this fact adds to the negation of claims boasting for creation and after-life, although each of those issues can easily be decided false of it's own lacking in merit.

You philosophy is a very palatable one.. I have no difficulty
in agreeing with most of what you've stated except to add that I feel it is very important to demand honesty and reasonable thinking from those people with whom I share the world. it's not alright with me to allow decisions of important issues to be based on falsehoods and I stand against allowances for concessions which are designed to accord such beliefs.
