I was very allergic to cats when I was young, but when I was 20 I got a husband who loves cats. I took allergy pills and then had the allergy shots for 4 years, that was 34 years ago and I've had cats for that long. You had a lot of good answers, but one thing I did some limit my time with the cat. Gradually she will be able to spend more time with the cat.

Hello I am sorry about the low quality of answers you have received. And I will do my best to give you an answer with meaningful tips.
Allergies to cats are usually do to the dander on the fur,so bathing the cat once a week will cut down on the allergen significantly.
Invest in a high quality hepa filtered vacuum cleaner and vacuum the carpets and couches daily.
Consider restricting the cats to one area of the house only and keep air purifiers in every room to cut down on the fur exposure.
A pollen mask such as an I can breathe mask can also give relief.
Over the counter anti-histamines such as benadryl or as an alternative approach without side effects and drowsiness try a homeopathic allergy formula for cat and pet dander (available at health food stores.)

Yes, there is a remedy, but it takes a long time to start working. That is allergy desensitation shots. They really do work and the benefits last for years after discontinuing the shots, but they can take as long as two years to start helping. A series of shots can last nine years.

My dear friend,
It is very sad to say..................you need to give away your cat or get a new girlfriend.
People with allergies to cat have no solution..................and you can not bound your cat to a specific area like dogs.
I am sorry
I tried to be helpful
Cheers anyway!
