Christian #1:
- The most outstanding mark of true Christians is that they have real love among themselves.
- Another mark of true religion is that its members have a deep respect for the Bible.
- The true religion must also honor God's name. (Matthew 6:9) Jesus made God's name, Jehovah, known to others. True Christians must do the same.
- True Christians must preach about God's Kingdom.

Christian #2:
- they may be known by the marks of Christians; namely by faith
- and when having received Jesus Christ the only savior, they avoid sin,
- follow after righteousness,
- love the true God and their neighbor,
- neither turn aside to the right or left, and crucify the flesh with the works thereof.

Do you know where the statements come from? Your thoughts on these two "definitions" of a Christian? Do you have your own you'd like to share?

Christian #1 should be pretty easy to figure out, Christian #2 might be a little more difficult. PM me if you are curious.

I'm closer to #2 I try to avoid Sin - and Jesus IS my First Love! I Pray that I am righteous - I pray that is how the Lord sees me! Yes I have Faith in Jesus! I do believe that He IS the ONLY way to heaven - the Bible says so - I use KJV.

I try to be a good neighbor. I have been 'cut' down or discriminated against because who I am married to - he is Bi-Racial (Black and Peurto Rican - Gorgeous!). I've also been discriminated against because I'm in a wheelchair! Oh well!

I Just Pray for all of these people - some have since become friends and are amazed that we - my Husband and I have the type of Love for each other and the Lord that we do!

Life is Fascinating and I Love my life! We aren't rich or don't even own a car. But, we have a lovely home - Wonderful Friends - An Awesome Pastor (also a friend) and wonderful neighbors! The Lord is SO GOOD to us!

Be at Peace - Accept God's Grace!

Take Care and God Bless!

Acts 15 - "Men, brothers, hear me. Symeon has related thoroughly how God for the first time turned his attention to the nations to take out of them a PEOPLE OF HIS NAME. And with this the words of the Prophets agree, just as it is written, 'After these things I shall return and rebuild the booth of David that is fallen down; and I shall rebuild its ruins and erect it again, in order that those who remain of the men may earnestly seek Jehovah, together with people of all the nations, PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY NAME, says Jehovah, who is doing these things, known from of old.'"

Israel was God's people who had the designation as Christians, However they turn their backs to him, his name was then mark on the foreheads of his spiritual organization.

Speaking of his wife-like organization, Isaiah 62:2 foretells: "And you will actually be called by a new name, which the very mouth of Jehovah will designate."

Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

Here's my "definition." Galatians 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

When I recieved Jesus, He changed me and made me a new creature with a renewed spirit of mind. My old man literally "passed away." He gave me a hunger for His Word, and gave me a good understanding of it.

As far as the "definitions" you gave, I am only assuming that the first may be according to a JW. I only make that assumption because there is no mention of Christ as our savior. As far as the second one, I am not completely sure, so I will not attempt an assumption there. Peace

That should answer all of your questions about Christianity. And hopefully raise many more.
