Ok, I met this guy through a friend. We come from to different back grounds. But we like spending time together. We have known each other for about 2 weeks. I don't want to jump the gun by asking question like, “What r u looking for with me?". And things of that nature. His lifestyle is very crazy (his brother is a local rapper) I can care less but it's very different for me. So what I’m asking is how to open up to someone new? The only part in a relationship that I hate is the beginning. I hate going through the getting to know each other stage. Help? I need to let my guard down.

I know what you mean I also hate the whole begining of getting to know someone. But you can't do much else but pray that the months go by fast so you can have "THE TALK". LOL, you know what I mean, but perhaps in the mean time you can say things like, "I really enjoy your company and like hanning out with you", or say if you haven't ssee him in a week or so say you missed his smile, stuff like that will give him the indication that you like him and the rest.... Well yeah that takes time. Enjoy the ride I hope It works our for you and the road leading up aint too bumpy.

The best way to start ANY kind of a relationship is to be open and upfront right from day one..If you and your friend are good at talking about things welll sweetie thats step 1...step 2 is to talk together about what each other is looking for in a friendship. the best relationships start from having a very good close friend..but take your time you are both young..

No, definitely keep your guard up until you actually see what kind of person that you are dealing with. It is okay to reveal some things about yourself, but it is really too soon to open up completely. You don't want to be made a fool out of. He could be playing you for all you know.

hmm, you can start by asking him about his previous relationship, start with something light like " when did you have your first crush? I had mine in primary school, with my neighbour, it is funny because..."
and then if the conversation goes well, you can start asking him heavy question, " so.. when is the last time you have a serious relatinship.." and if he asked you yours.. its time to open up. but i think some guys like it if he did not know too much detail about the girl he was dating. so i dont think opening up is a must. it will happens casually and eventually.

No, hon, you don't need to let your guard down. You don't need to open up to him. Right now, that's the best thing you have going for yourself...... your mystique! You don't know that?! As the sayin' goes.... "that's a good thing." The best thing to do is let him tell you all about himself. Take it s-l-o-w. Be patient.

it ok to let your guard down a little bit. just make sure that he dont know everything about you or you might be too exposed. get to know him better first, then when you can completely trust him you can let your guard all the way down.
