For about a year now ive had very dry feet since ive been living in this new home, But now the bottoms of my feet have been getting large cracks in them where the skin is splitting and coming off, almost in a scale like pattern, leaving extremely painful cuts in my foot, where i have to cut off the lifted skin, it makes it worse, almost to the point where its difficult to walk, and makes simple jobs almost unbearable. what is this and what can i do for it?

O dear...that must be terrible for you!

You need to wear slippers to get your feet off the floor, since it appears that your feet aren't exactly agreeing with the floor. Also, take a look at what floor cleaning chemicals you're using...they might've been the one who're causing the dryness..maybe due to an allergy or simply are too harsh for you.

You need to keep your feet moisturized intensively, preferably wearing thick comfortable and soft socks over them immediately after moisturizing and keeping them on at all times to help with absorption.

In the meantime, try and eat well-balanced meals to promote optimal healing. When sleeping, if the air in your room is too dry, and you can't do without airconditioning, place a moderately sized basin of water in the room to help with the humidity level as you sleep. Drink lots of clear fluids or water in the meantime as well.

Take care.

Get a large dishpan and fill
it half full with warm water.
Add about 2 tablespoons
epsom salts and a small amount of pleasant smelling
shampoo or bubble bath.
Soak your feet at least 1/2 hr.
3 times/week.
After the soak, dry your feet
thoroughly and especially
between the toes. Then rub
on extra virgin olive oil and rub into the skin as much as
possible. You don't need a
lot. Then put on white,
cotton socks and go to bed.
Keep the same sox for using
each time and put into a
plastic bag until next time,
or you will get a lot of oily
sox to have to clean. Of
course after awhile they will
need to be soaked in hot
dishsoap, scrubbed and dried
well for use again.

Hello, Well Diabetic's feet crack and peel and don't seem to get any better. There is a Diabetic cream for cracked feet/ It works really well. Also try Neosporin and wear white socks.
You may be allergic to a carpet, or animal dander left by
another resident.
clean your feet more often and try the Aloe Very plant leaf.
Cut one open and rub it on your feet it may be gooey but it works really good to dry up the cracks abd heal, because that;s what it does.
Hope this helps you : )

Hi,

I am a detox specialist and I specialize in helping people get rid of their health problems via a detox.

I have a fren with a similar problem get rid of her cracked heels after detox..

A detox is healthy because it brings balance back to your body. So at the end of the detox, you will find yourself get more energetic, healthier, more radiant looking as well.

And the detox is simple. All you need to do is three things.

Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.

Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods that I take to enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.

Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out..

And that's it.

The rest is up to you.

So what do you think? ;)

If you are keen to find out more about my detox programme, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com.

There is heel cream made especially for this. Rub it on before bed and when you get up. Sounds awful, good luck .Also, try corn huskers lotion ...it is cheap and made for really dry cracked skin... it is clear and can be found with the hand lotions. Farmers use it for there hands when they have to deal with the dry straw and hay .It really works .

Wash your feet at night, and apply heel cream [ available at drug stores ] and socks to go to bed.
Rewash, and re-apply in am.
DON"T go barefoot, or in flip flops, or sandals, until this improves.
Wear clean socks every day and alternate shoes, so they dry out between wearings. NO shoes without socks!
If this doesn't get better in 2-3 days, go to the doctor - you may have an infection.

OK, your feet are dehydrated. What you need to do is get some lotion and put it on every day.
