It's one of those Commandments that got lost in translation. I think it was Commandment 23: "Thou shalt not stalk thy neighbor." The reason the editors omitted it from the final edition is because they didn't see a need to include it as stalking was not commonplace at that time. After all, there were no trees to hide behind and they couldn't hide behind camels because (a) they tended to move a lot and (b) they really had a bad case of B.O. on a hot summer day.

The word translated "persecution" has various shades of meaning from "following" to "assaulting."
The Bible's ethic seems to be that if you are Christian and behaving yourself, then it's "persecution for Christ." If you are Christian and you are not behaving yourself, then it's only to be expected. If you're not Christian (or the immediately preceding category), it's because you left God, so God left you. (Romans 1:28-32)

Yes, it does, though you have to get the whole picture. You see the Christian god's basic message is, "I love you, but if you don't love me back I'll punish you forever." This is what stalkers think, so the Christian god is just a stalker in disguise. That, or a wife-beater. Take your choice.
