Dear tur b,

A real Christian is one who follows Christ. And Christ reveals to man his purpose and plan of salvation through the Bible. The Bible teaches much about actually having a humble spirit because people are saved by God's work on the cross- and not because they're so great on their own. So i'm sorry that you've encountered believers who come across as "arrogant" and "prideful" from reading the Bible- Bible reading actually should have the opposite affect. The Bible does say that knowledge puffs up (makes a person big head) so Christians ought not to be reading the Bible to get a big head- but rather to get a big heart. To have a heart to do what God's word says. That doesn't mean you check your mind at the door- obviously one needs to use their mind to understand what God is speaking about in His word (along with the Help of the Holy Spirit).

Cults are groups which claim to be Christian but their fundamental teachings differ from the Bible. For examples Mormons will say that they are Christians but they believe Jesus is the Half-brother of Lucifer and they give as much weight to the book of Mormon (why would Jesus need another testament when He declared His word to be complete and warned against adding or taking away from His word?)

The Bible warns about a lot of false teachers. i'm not quoting the Bible but just giving you a picture of its truthfulness and that it can make you wise- not to boast- but in my case to comfort, encourage, and even warn about false teachings.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

John 4:23-24 "Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth"

Jesus is the son of the most high (Luke 1:32)
and his name is Jehovah (Psalms 83:18)

And Jesus said that in John 4:23 we must worship his father.

Ok I will use my mind,
the one that no support the war,
the one that not says contradictions for example "God is love but torture people in a placed called hell"
the one that try to use reasoning not saying that the earth is 6000 years and six days because the bible didn´t says that the days are of 24 hours because it is illogical.
The one that don´t ask for 10% of your gross salary, because we are not under a old covenant because we are under a new covenant then why keep the covenient tithing for support not working for living.

If you want I can give you more without quoting from the bible.

Read for yourself and taste and see that the Lord is good. Start with a New King James translation, with footnotes. Moody Bible Institute has great footnotes in their publication that will help a first time through reader. There are also others, but many of my friends have found this translation easy to read. If you have a heart for the truth, seek and you will find.

permit's be sparkling that being 'born back' would not describe any classification of Christian - there are not the form of issues as categories. someone is the two a Christian or not a Christian, and that's the top of it. What it does describe is the technique of changing right into a Christian which, in accordance to Jesus, is person-friendly to all and sundry who will become part of God's family participants, and studies, consciously or subconsciously, a sparkling commencing up. as quickly as we are born, that's the commencing up of our actual existence; as quickly as we grow to be Christians, that's the commencing up of our non secular existence. we are born back - for a 2d time. Nicodemus necessary it spelt out to him. No, Jesus defined, He did not mean that someone had to pass back to his mom's womb, however the 2d start became yet another style of miracle, delivered approximately by utilizing God's Spirit, and became merely as inventive. To make it own, as quickly as I grew to grow to be a Christian, the non secular length of my existence, which had lain dormant up till then, wakened. without notice this complete new part of information and activity burst into existence and that i grew to grow to be a extra complete person, a form-new toddler Christian, who necessary feeding and nurturing. So don't be perplexed. God has no form names. The question isn't what form of Christian you're, yet no rely in case you're a Christian in any respect; no rely in case you have been born back right into a sparkling family participants.

The real christians are those that follow the path of love/fellowship. Those that judge others are not on the love path no matter what their "lip service" says. The fallen one has cleverly snuck into the church, you can see it in the judging of others. Judging others will not get you into heaven.

Um...maybe they do know better.

P.S. Maybe they aren't calling "themselves" false cults, but rather calling false cults...false cults.

Speaking of false cults, what do you think of those Republicans? :)
