I think in my opinion, the ideal age range is about 2 to 4 years. That way you are closer to the same age. And there is more that you would have in common. For example, if a guy who was, lets say 35 was dating a 20 year old, what could they possibly have I common. The 20 year old is just most likely just getting used to being out on their own. Going to school, or something. And would be into different things. While the 35 year old probably has a career, and may be ready to settle down. I don't think age matters, unless someone that is 30 is wanting to be with someone under 18.

Age matters if one is 19 and the other is 13 that does matter but when it comes like when one is 28 and the other is 23 that is totally normal, again it comes to the ABOVE 18 is good limitation and the ideal range is four years

I have dated older men way more then i have dated younger men. Thats just me. I have a 75 -year-old aunt who has been with the same man for 27 odd years and he's in his late 40's. My parents were 11 years apart. I have another aunt whoes husband was 19 0r 21 years older than her.
I personally believe that age doesnt really matter(niether does race, hieght, or religion) I belive that if someone over the age of 18, who is emotionally mature enough for a relationship should go ahead and date whoever their heart desires. But everybody is different. Maybe a good guidline is no older or younger than 15 years than you.
I mean I'm 25 and i probably wouldnt date someone past their 40's, or younger than 21. Though i preffer older men.
You also gotta think if you end up with someone 30 years older or younger than you, if one of you dies 20 years earlier than the other will you be ok with being old, past the point of dating, and alone untill you die.
I believe that God created the person he wants you to be with , and because of how short life is, your best bet is that they are around your age. Good luck, and God bless you.

Peace,
Bridget

I'm 18. I have only ever gone for older guys! They are sooooo much more mature [[and they do say guys are 2 years behind in maturity]]. Three to four years older is all I'm comfortable with right now. I'm just getting into college..so that age range works. All in all, age does not matter. I think its allll about love.

Age sometimes doesn't matter it just depends. If you are 18 and the guy/girl is like 90.... and he/she has LOTS OF MONEY... GO FOR IT..... J/K
LOL
I wouldn't date a guy that was more than 8-9 years older than me. I always have dated men that were older than me. BUt now that I am getting older.... I may concider to date a younger guy, but probably not b/c I have found that most men younger than me are really imature!!!
WHEN YOU ARE IN HIGH SCHOOL OR A MINOR AGE SHOULD MATTER!!! Once you get out of high school it shouldn't matter as much, but like I said I wouldn't date anyone that was more than 9 years old than me. ( I am 23 by the way.)

Once you hit your 30's and 40's is when it really starts not to matter.... as long as they aren't a minor!

well it all depends on the ages. If you are 21 and the other is 16 yeah that is worng. If you are 26 and the other is 21 that is not a problem. The relationship might not work out but its not wrong. I think 5-6 year gap from guy being the oldest is good.

In love alone, age doesent matter when both parties are mature adults. Practically speaking it does matter because a big enough age difference will complicate things like for example having children, and lonlines of the partner who will inevitably get left behind after his or her much older partner dies of old age. Id say to be safe about 10 year diff max...

for GF .. younger or similar age is best .. but could be 1~2 yearsolder .. not more than 5 years older in any case ...

I am 18 and my boyfriend is 25.
I dont think i have ever felt a connection with anyone my own age like I do with him.
We have a great relationship.
When I'm with him I think nothing about the age and neither does he.
As long as both partners are old enough to be mature and responsible age is JUST A NUMBER!

To match maturity and interest levels, it is best to stay within 3-5 years of the same age.

Legally, if one party is under 18, the maximum age difference allowed in a relationship is 5 years.
