I started dating when i was 13, my relationship lasted a year and 4 months, and 1st kiss was when i was 14. So probably about 13 or 14. Sadly that relationship ended just 3 weeks agoe. Just ask your kid if he or she can handle it and if he or she thinks about it and can handle it and be ready for some pain (emotionally just incase which most do in the begining stages a break up happens). And if they say yes i say let him or her date. :-)

You know what? it really doesn't matters about the kiss, i mean i felt love for the first time when i was just 7 years old and that's a normal thing and kids shouldn't have limitations when should they start dating

well see my children are both 14 i think that is good age or the right age but i would rather have my children start dating/ ne sexual activity to happen when they are 16 because they need time to grow up and be a kid in stead of wrrying about their bf or gf. plus you probably dont want to be a grand parent ne time soon. i know they say they will wait but that is very un realistic. if your wondering y my advise is precise its because i am a teen counsler. thank you

Well my mom said not till I was 15.
But cuz my mom told me that I kissed a guy when I was 13 and she got mad. She told me when to kiss someone so I did it when I wanted to.
If you ask me I don't think you should tell ur kids when they can kiss have a bf/gf cuz MOST kids well do it sooner to make there parents mad.

Where on earth did you get the illusion that you have any control over those things? You can control when they begin dating and you MIGHT be able to persuade them to delay their first sexual encounter, but that's about it.
I can sympathize; it's an impossible juggling act guiding children towards autonomy and independence while trying to maintain enough control to help them avoid irreversible mistakes.

its' different for every family
some say it's ok to have g/friend -b/friend when 15 or older
others say not until they're 18 and older
Anything under 15 I think is too young to be involved with a girl or boy*
but again, to each and their own*

I doubt you can allow your kids to have their own kiss. I think 17 is right, maybe i'm a little conservative. ?
