Leoness: Great question !!! The answer may surprise you !
Answer is this. Jesus would not subscribe to ANY religion - none - whatsoever.
Jesus was always "at war" with the religions of His days here, on earth. This was attributed to the fact, that Jesus was proclaiming and living SPIRITUALITY in a relationship with His heavenly Father. Religion is based on "dos & don'ts" called most appropriately, LEGALISM - ritualism of its practitioners. These people were enemies of God - always trying to find a reason to persecute Jesus for breaking the then, fashionable Ten Commandments or the multiple laws of their Talmud. Like any religion, it led to the lying and murder of God in the flesh [Jesus].

Jesus was Jewish, as were most of his followers. Because they considered themselves to be a sect of the Jewish faith, historians have begun calling these early followers the "Jesus Movement." They were just one of several groups of Jews at the time. The true division between the Christian and Jewish faiths came later.

If he were alive today, Jesus would probably look at the hatred and intolerance between the different religious groups and the self-serving nature of many organized religions and throw up his hands in disgust. His love and tolerance for those around him fits more into Unitarian Universalism than most other organized religions. So does his emphasis on true spirituality without being wrapped up in hidebound religious dogma.

Jesus was born a Jew and as such practiced the Mosiac Law,as was handed down to Moses from Jehovah God.
It was Jesus himself who introduced Christianity and it was not until His death that Christanity replaced the Law of Moses.

He would be humble enough to say that he isn't the head of a religion, and that he simply worships as he said in the Lords prayer.

So I'm guessing none. Or a Unitarian maybe?

When? According to the KKK he's Jewish.
In his incarnation 2000 years ago he was a reform rabbi.
If He were alive today he'd probably be a Unitarian Universalist or an Erisian

Would, or did? Jesus was an Essene Jew, like John the Baptist.

Nowadays, after seeing what they've done in his name and with his reputation . . . hard to tell. o_O

He wouldn't belong to any............He CHANGED the rules of the one he was born into when he DID live.

He was a Jew but not a 'good' one or he wouldn't have rebelled against them. He was more worried about spirituality than he was religious dogma.
