Here's the deal. I dream these things before they happen. Never anything juicy, just plain ol' boring things. I thought I was imagining it, but I have called people a couple of times, right after I wake up (the dreams seem to disappear from memory fairly quickly.. even after I tell it). Then, when it happens, I ask them if they remember when I told them that this would happen. And, they do, so I know I'm not completely mad :).

I'd like to know scientific answers, spiritual answers, whatever. Just answers, but link me to where you get the info from so I can explore this more.
Thanks so much

Ok, maybe I should give an example:

I dreamt that I was buckling my daughter into her carseat. My aunt was standing at the back of a van with the hatch open. We were casually talking about how nice *her* van was.

Ok.. this was awhile ago. My aunt wasn't planning on getting a van when I had this dream, as she didn't think that she would need a bigger vehicle because her huband told her that there weren't going to be anymore children...and I didn't tell her about this dream. I told me fiance though. So he remembers. I really had this dream.

Fast-forward to last Sat.
My aunt had bought her new van the prior Wed., as her hubby decided that one more child was ok (he was adamantly against it before... we had no clue he was going to change his mind). We were going to a parade, and I was buckling my dd into her carseat in her van. My aunt had the hatch open, and when she started talking about how roomy her van is, I had that dizzying sensation and remembered me having the dream.

I think clairvoyance, on a small scale, can be more a matter of being perceptive and observations, then a matter of unusual ability. Your mind may pick up on things that you don't even realize you notice, your mind predicts what may happen from what it has seen and noted, and it will release that info and those thoughts in dreams. When it happens to have predicted correctly from what it observed, you get your dreams that tell you what will happen before it does. That's what I think anyway.

De Ja Vu - it's french meaning "to see again."
I have absorbed so much over the years that I can't point to my sources, but I will tell you my understanding of it.

There are three schools of thought:
1) it's claivoyance, or premonitions. What you do with that information is of question, whether you can do anything with it.
2) It's a splitting of universes: If you notice something was changed (for example, a person is different, there's an object present or missing) that marks a divergence from a different path in the two universes, either the remerging of the two or the dual experience of the divergence.
3) it's a re-living of the experience, either through a divergent path or...

For more information on Divergent Universes, I would suggest Brian Greene's books, "A Brief History of Time" or "The Fabric of the Universe" both of which are about String theory which is super-advanced Physics but both books are light and funny.

I can tell you that since my children have been born, I have had deja vu many, many times. I have had vivid dreams that were easy to remember all my life, but Deja Vu has really picked up immensely since my children were born.

For me, I believe it's confirmation that things are the way they need to be: "If I made these decisions before and I decided to do it the same way, then it must turn out Okay in the end!" But I've had some VERY Dificult decisions to mak lately and I'm in to self-afirming talk right now ;-)

I think having children has made me more reflective and introspective, open to small things and influences in a way I never was in my single, self-absorbed life Before Kids.

There is a fantastic movie called "What the Bleep" (Costco had them for $12) and the website, www.whatthebleep.com has some great reading to get you going if you want more scientific information to prove that you are NOT (completely) Mad ;-)

...(Crap!! After posting this, I had total Deja Vu, too!!! The radio is on in the background talking about Senior xecutives and Banera (sp?) and the two-tabbed internet screen showing the What The Bleep website... Did we know each other in a previous life? ;-)

Certain personality styles tend to be more prophetic than others. People who tend to be more aggressive and analytical in nature tend to have this very natural tendency to be a prophet as it were. You may be a person who warns others of potential dangers in situations where you just see things coming. Your mind during sleep is still very much active and playing out scenarios in your mind because you're very observant of things and have deep understanding and life experiences that help you see how things will play out. It's not crazy, not really spiritual, not really scientific - it's really all about your personality and it's totally normal. I've had this kind of thing happen before - but based on understanding personalities - that could help you alot.

Actually there are kind of two reasons why you will dream things and see them come to pass. (1). God gave you the dream because He wants you to seek Him out because He has given you a gift that needs to be cultivated so you can help others. It may be simple things which come to pass to you, but is it actually God speaking to you in His own mysterious way. God will give you little things until He feels your ready to handle bigger and more serious dreams. (2). Since, we are made in God's likeness and image, like God we can see bits and pieces into the future because God has given us a spirit. Of course, God can see everything. It is a gift that operates in people through the operation of the spirit in us.

Something that feels like it has happened before, but really you are encountering it for the first time. I've had it before too.
It can be really weird sometimes, but it's nothing to worry about, if you are worried. Here's a link to dictionary.com.

The same exact thing happens to me. I'll dream about stuff like me saying something to someone or somebody brushing their teeth. Its pretty lame. I wish my dreams were more poignant in their message or at least not so mundane.

I think Deja Vu is your mind piecing together different thoughts you have and bringing them together all at once so it seems as if it has happened before.

Yeahhhhhhh, the same exact thing happens to me. I do not know the purpose or what it means, but it sometimes freaks me out.

I hope to find an answer along with you, thanks for asking this question!
