I broke up with the love of my life at the end of october. i told her to move on, f'ck i did everything i could to make her hate me. from november to january she did. i then decided that id made a mistake but it was too late. she'd already gotten with someone else. i tried being her friend from january to may but succeded in nothing save perhaps her thinking i was a bother. i feel like if i'd of said the right words at the right time things may have been different but fate is fate and as such everything is as it should be. we're both going off to college, her to brown me to ut austin. i know that we'll probably never see eachother again and this plauges me. i need something, closure or friendship. maybe one last kiss. i don't know. but i do know that love is worth living and dying for and i wonder if my time has been wasted dwelling on its loss.

Nahh, not wasted, just think of it as a learning experience and treat the next one better. You are very young, you have a whole lot of messes and fun ahead of you!

Sounds like to me You just have a case of scarcity mindset (whether you'll admit it or not) meaning you're afraid that you won't / can't find somebody like your ex So you're clinging onto a past relationship.

This is a false mindset that keeps people in bad relationships or keeps people from getting over relationships once they've ended. You need to realize that there are millions of women in the world and no two people are "meant to be together"

Tip:
Trying to be her friend was probably the worst thing you could have done because once a woman sees you as a friend she no longer sees you as a sexual being. It's possible to get out of the friend zone but can be hard.

You don't need closure it ended be a man and get over it.

I am sorry to hear about your loss of your love. It may be that at this moment your paths are not meant to be in the same direction. This however, does not mean that you will not cross paths at a later date. Love is never so simple as the first love, it is always the most prevalent through our lives.
It would seem that you have not wasted your time or energy as you have taken away valuable lessons in relationships along the way. It would seem to me that you are recovering from a broken heart, and that simply takes time and a certain amount of recovering. Time learning lessons is never wasted unless you do not heed the call of your heart.
At times you must be willing to take big risks in order to attain greatness. This also applies to love, if she is truly the one that you can not see yourself living without. Get your life in order with your degree in hand and then look her up. You want to be the man you would be proud to be, in order to be the man that she deserves.
Time and love heal all wounds, even the broken heart.
Blessings

Your time has not been wasted if you've learned something from the experience. Perhaps you will be more considerate to and appreciative of your next girlfriend (instead of dumping her and making her hate you)? Try dwelling on how to not repeat your mistake.

As for the love of your life, I'm guessing she'd rather not hear from you again, and out of respect to her, get over your "needs" and leave her alone.

Love; could and will never be a waste of time, You will have learned so much from this, although it may not feel like it now, your life will be better for having had this love. Write her a letter a good long heartfelt letter and give yourself some closure, make it wide open, don't be afraid to express too much YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOOSE, only wisdom to gain.

You probably deserve the feeling of 'wasting time' for doing such a thing to the poor girl. And if u really want one last something, write her a letter, leave it in her locker. Explain why did u try to make her hate u, and all the other stuff. And tell her that u want to meet one last time. She should agree.
All the best!

I say, meet her for one last time and then you'll really know if you should move on or try to win her back. Before I really ended it with my ex, we had one last chat, that was then I realized that I didn't want him back and that it was better for both of us to separate and be happy than be together and miserable.

well the only time that I think you have wasted is trying to get back with her....you let her go if you two are meant to be she'll fly back to her nest, no matter how much time passes by...and let this be a lesson to you to cherish and value what you have cause once it's gone then you realize how much it meant to you .....good luck and move on

cest la vie

You've wasted the most time a person can possibly waste. You need to admit you screwed yourself over and find a new person to make more mistakes with...its not like you have much to lose in that department.
