God, (and the great variety of other names people use to refer to their gods - I omit none,) doesn't help anyone... It's all just nonsense, of course.
Prayer is completely useless and there is a growing body of scientifically collected and verifiable evidence to support this claim.
Get with reality, y'all.... Atheism, it's the logical choice.

God's help was always there but it was CONDITIONAL.I was given to understand that it was my bounden duty to take responsibility for my actions, plan and execute the tasks, always strive to excel, share the fruits of my success with those who could not make it,carry the burden of my good fortune with humility and gratitude and spend a good part of my time and resources on my co-creatures and live the life in a joyful way.God came into the picture only at the end of the day, when I thanked him for every thing before going to sleep. I believe that God has nothing to do with the sufferings of innocents you have described. These are MAN-MADE and mankind alone can and should strive to find solution to such situations. It's high time that we stop throwing responsibility for our misdeeds on others including GOD.

gods been with me and with those general examples you threw out. the kids who are starving are either going to get some food or die and go to god.
innocent slaughtered families go back to god. kind people being tortured will either eventually be free or go back to god.
god is always with us all. its not like he turns his back on us, ye of little faith.

Indeed, many millions of times He has helped me purely out of *His* fatherly divine goodness & mercy, not out of any merit or worthiness in me. What makes me deserving? Absolutely nothing. I am nothing without the blood of Jesus which redeems me, a lost & condemned person. God gives people worth in His creating them. Christ Jesus gives people worth in redeeming them.
But I don't have to be arrogant in order to be thankful! And it's out of this thankfulness also that I want to & choose to help my neighbor across the ocean or next door. I think many Christians would echo the same sentiment. And this is how God works to provide for the needs of people, through other people. That we do not allow Him to work through us as we should is our fault, not His.
Thankfulness is a powerful weapon against the enemy who is a liar. Try it!

Let me see if I can get the 'party' answer correct...
Because I'm an All-American, God-fearing, believer that deserves it more than anyone else.
did I get that right?

God tests everybody, even you and me, throughout life. He helps us out when we're in over our heads. As for the starving kids, God works in mysterious ways. If you don't like it, then go sell everything, buy a one-way ticket and go join them.
I know you won't, why? Do you think you're better than God Himself?

yes, but i definately did not deserve it. i dont believe anyone really deserves help. some people do deserve it more than others, but never get it. if you do believe in god, then im guessing you believe in heaven as well. and it says the poor on earth will be rich in heaven. so i believe they will be helped eventually.

We sit at our computers and talk about the starving children...but what action are we taking to stop it?
Many people buy fancy homes and beautiful cars and boats and travel across the globe. These people enjoy their blessed lives, but they do very little to help the starving and sick.
We do very little to sway our governments to use their/our resources to help those who need our help the most.
God.....has nothing to do with it....or does it?
