Personally, I cannot stand religion. Religion is a strict adhearence to a set of rules. That is not what Christianity is about at all, we are all about having a living relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Religious people are those who are stuck on the rules and think you must obey them 100% to go to Heaven.
Jesus wants us to accept the gift HE made available for every person, that is the gift of eternal life. The only thing we need to do to is accept the gift. If you chose not to accept it then you have chosen to spend eternity away from God.
What is your choice?

I'am saved but not religious.

The greatest disaster in today’s church is the overwhelming
numbers of religious people without a valid relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If Satan can induce any individual person into an empty religious mode of thought, he has effectively destroyed that person’s spiritual life. The variations of religious thinking have given rise to the idea of Biblical interpretation that says, “We all may interpret the Bible differently but still be Christians.” The Bible is a literal book and, no, we cannot interpret the Bible differently. It only has one valid interpretation, and that is a literal interpretation. The Word of God is simple and plain, and the Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal Word, said exactly what He meant. We are forbidden to change one word of Scripture on threat of eternal damnation.

God Bless.

My opinion of religion is it is a waste of time for me. My opinion of religious people is that is something that they want to do and I have nothing to say on it although some of them have a lot to say about me and my way. It is funny how you choose to end this question with your little bold take on the choose to spend an eternity away from god shpill cause that is annoying ,offensive and rather insulting part of dealing with certain christians. So, to the last statement you just had to make I say you should not foretell of things that are not true and you should not speak of things that you can not prove exists. (That is like asking me to pay 5 million for a car you read a book about and have never seen and offering a lot of free stuff with it and on the day the car is suppose to be delivered it's a tire with several holes in and a nail.)

Hi dear, religion is good for everybody. Its guide us for the better future. All religion are telling the good things for people. The problem arise when the religious people misusing the religion for the self interest. The religion already exist but the religious must show proper guidence and thoughts to the followers. Hope don't encourage violence, split the unity of the people and don't create enemy among people. The religious must sacrife their life for the betterment of people.. not bring disaster for the people..

I was raised religious in the way you stated above and it did a lot of harm to me that good people get good things and bad people get bad things and if something bad is happening to you you are being singled out and punished by God this in known as repropution dogma relgion shetlered you from real life because of what I stated above.

I have a relationship with Jesus Christ not traditions laid out by man. steadfast and I just had our nightly devotion and we had the BEST intimate conversation we ever had about the menality of jobs and the world and focusing on God and being happy in all circumstances and being content and we have the grace and peace because of our Lord Jesus Christ
We studied Philippians 4 and it was wonderful.

My choice is to follow Jesus and our household does as well Praise the Lord.

I have a poor opinion of certain people who try to disguise an offer as a gift.

Christian salvation is no gift. A gift is given without obligation or requirements. An offer has strings attached.

So answer me this: In order to receive this alleged gift of christian salvation, do you not have to fulfill the following requirements/obligations?

1) Believe that Jesus is god, and your lord and savior
2) Repent your sins
3) Be baptized (controversial).

If you have to do anything to receive the alleged gift, it is no gift. It is an offer, just like any other offer....buy one get one free.

Sometimes I think even religious proselytizing requires some consumer warnings.

Religion is not a bad thing, just as gunpowder is not a bad thing. People who practice religion are not doing anything wrong, just as a target shooter is doing nothing wrong. People who push religion in your face, like people who fire a gun in your face, are not doing something good. To paraphrase a Christian cliche', "Hate the zealot, but respect the belief system." Particularly if the person is using religion for good.

What is my view of religion and religious people, or what is my choice?

I guess I'll answer the former... I think religion is fine, but only as far as people are willing to think while practicing their faith. I think highly "religious" people are the most annoying people on the planet - they refuse to THINK and understand new things... like when religion was absolutely sure the earth was the center of the universe.

I already made my choice.

God the Father, Jesus his only begotten Son and the Holy Ghost.

I tend to be in agreement with you but I also believe that true believers can be found in almost every religion. God knows what is in the hearts and minds of everyone.

I have no problem with people being "religious" or people having a relationship with God, Zuess or whoever, as long as they don't try and force it others. I especially don't like it when they enlist the aid of the gov;t to try and strong arm people into following their religion, or giving some special type of homage or priviledge to those of the "correct" religion or to those who have the right "relationship" with God. And many who claim that they aren't religious, and that they hate religion, but instead what they have is a relationship, are just blowing smoke, its religion.

All religions teach at least something good; it would, perhaps be better if we studied them individually instead of passing judgments about them based on the followers. To reach an inference about "religious people" would be a case of stereotyping.
