First, I think you will receive different feedback from different people and eventually it's your opinion that matters.

Second, personally I think that it depends on which part of your body you will get the tattoo done. The turn on for me would be the lower back and the ankle.

About the idea itself, it's very respectful. You must be really admiring your dad. I just think you should exclude the date he passed away. This tattoo should bring you the happy memories you had with him not the sad ones, it doesn't matter when did he pass away, as long as you have his memories deep within.

I think your tat idea is great. I had something similar done in memory of my older brother who passed away when we were both very young and I felt it was the best way to memorialize someone close to you. If that is something you feel strongly about doing, then go for it. And yes, I do think that women who have tats are a turn-on.

I personally like tattoo's if it's one of good taste.
The Portuguese flag is beautiful so yes it would look very nice.
The Portuguese crest is also very nice for a tattoo.

if whether you get a tattoo is hinged on what other people will think of you then you're better off not having one. you can't make life decisions (tattoos are definitely life decisions) based on what strangers will think of you. obviously some people like tattoos and some people don't but the decision has to be yours to make and our answers should have no bearing on that at all.

I like the tattoo idea. I think if a guy is turned off by that then they aren't worth it and you'll find someone better. If anything they might find it sweet that its for your dad.

I think its a turn on and your tattoo idea seems really good because it means something to you; I hate it when people just get a random image that doesn't mean anything to them.

I really don't think you should be concerned if it's a turn on or not. If it's something you want to get to remember your father,
that's all that should matter.
If you meet someone who doesn't like it, that just means that they don't respect your feelings, and you should pass them by.
Find someone who is compassionate with your feelings.

i think it's great u want to commemorate your dad that way, but where you put itand how big could be quite the deterant the name of a man anywhere on your body could be taken the wrong way.

Chics with tattoo's are HOT! Your tattoo to honor your father sounds perfect. Your body is a canvas...scar it beautifully! Good Luck!

its for you! besides, now you will get a guy who will like you with your tattoo and can't tell you not to get one because you will already have one!!
i had a boyfriend who didn't like my teeny tiny tattoo on one of my shoulders.....jerk. I now have three more and he's history!
don't date someone who makes you feel bad for deciding to do what YOU want with YOUR skin!
