i have a word tattood on the inside arch of my foot. it is only 2 months old and has almost completly faded off already!!!! my artist said he would touch it up for free but is it a waste of time if its going to fade off again that quickly?! i love the tatoo but i cant go every 2 months to get it re-done!...??

Well, if it's on the foot, that's a "high rub" zone... that's why you don't have hairy ankles, because the socks wear it off... I think that maybe you should just get the word re-tattooed somewhere else, like your wrist, or your thigh, if it's more personal.

it's not about your tattoo rubbing off, it is because of the skin, it is much tougher there and the ink doesnt go in very were in those place like the side of the foot, bottom of the foot, palms. Your artist probably wont touch it up every 2 months because it costs too much money to do it. He should have been upfront with you from the begining and told you that it will fall out. Good luck!

depends on the size of what your touching up... if its a few lines it will heal really fast (from personal experience) or little spots, its its a larger area or chunk of skin it can take longer. the second time isnt really as bad as the first though! :) good luck!! also i noticed that not every foot tattoo is alike... my first one never really got sore or hurt and only took 2 - 3 weeks to heal however i got a smaller less detailed one on my other foot and it hurt bad for like 2 months! weird...

that is mine - it was done about 6 months ago, and has faded off about three times and i have had it redone.
it just comes off....i would just leave it to go - i have not managed to keep mine and it is tiny:(

if it is on the arch of your foot then he should have told you it would fade quickly. the feet and hands are not easy to have tattoos done and stay. you'll probably have to have it done three or four times in order to stay. tops of feet are less hassle than the bottoms or sides.

Hmmm...IDK.. I have a tattoo on the top of my foot and ive had it for over a year and it still looks great. maybe let it wear off and get it redone on top of your foot. never heard of anything like it. talk to the artist about it

You walk on it day in and day out, what did you expect? Try different kind of socks maybe!?
