The MR1, MR2, MRA4 all have bomb bays to carry torpedos or depth charges. Harpoon and Sidewinder missiles are carried externally on the MR2 and MRA 4 variants.
The R1, AEW3 do not have bomb bays.

What the RAF did at the outbreak of WW2 was to fly a bomber over Germany and drop lots of leaflets calling on the German people to behave.
When this tactic did not work, the RAF were left with little choice but to drop something a little more deadly.
It's quite possible that the Nimrod [a variation thereof] can drop things, bombs, newspaper cuttings, whatever.
The Nimrod however is not the way to deliver your big bang. There are much faster methods of doing this and more reliable.

In a way, yes. But mainly used for reconnaissance. The Nimrod MRA4 roles include anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface unit warfare, and search and rescue missions.
