Ok, I am confused. I have been going through quite the dating dry spell lately, but now I might have finally found a guy that is what I've been looking for. Here's the deal: We attended the same function last weekend and he saw me there and thought I was cute. He just happens to be friends with a couple that I know and he wants to meet me. So they have been trying to set us up. I am supposed to meet him this weekend.
So anyways, I love to dress up. I love wearing skirts and dresses and nice tops. Even if I'm in jeans, I am almost always in heels. But I just could not find a man. The few guys that I have gone out with in the recent past have been losers. So last weekend, I was wearing jeans, black flip flops, and a plain black tanktop (beater) and I somehow attracted a seemingly great guy? WHY?? Do guys prefer girls who wear plain clothes as opposed to more dressy outfits? Please fill me in! Thanks!

In general I've always believed that women overembellished the importance of "dressing up." Guys like a woman's natural beauty -- so yes, your hairstyle and your body tone will score points with guys -- but we tend not to care so much about what a woman is wearing. The right woman looks just as sexy to me in jeans and a tanktop as she would in a fancy skirt. In fact, plain clothes help in a sense...a girl seems more approachable in plain clothes, so guys will feel more comfortable pursuing them.

It's not the CLOTHES, it's the personality you present in them.
I'll take a cute girl in flip flops and t-shirt who's giggling along with her friends and enjoying life then a woman in a red dress and heels walking down the road not smiling any day.
SEXY women don't have to dress up, get it? You were naturally sexy to this guy when you weren't trying. That doesn't mean stop dressing sexy. This guy you're seeing will LOVE to see you in your skirts and heels.
But dressing sexy can intimidate many guys from approaching you. But when you're just being fun and relaxed, guys will naturally want to approach you.

Yes, many guys like "dressed-down" girls better. We know you were clothes, makeup, and heels to try to look better, but sometimes it feels like a bit of a deception. We want to know that you look cute first thing in the morning. A girl who can pull of looking attractive when she's not TRYING to - that really looks hot. Heels and too much make-up are the most obvious attempts at looking good.

Hmmm... I think its probably just preference. Some guys like girls that dress up and some like those who wear plain clothes. I personally don't care what kind of clothes a girl wears as long as I'm attracted to her.

well yeah it does depend on the guy but maby its justt you. sounds like your jus a really pretty woman so that is prob. it and well there is alot of guys out there that if they see a very attractive woman whos good looking and all dressed up for alot of guys it is intimidating you know so maby thats why alot of guys dont come up to you even thought that they want to. so then when u were seeing in a more laid back manor n looking attractive still makes it easier for guys to come n talk to you .. what do you think ?

Guys only notice if you look really slobby. They don't care a whole lot. You should look for someonewho likes who you are not what you are. The kind of guys who notice your chic heels or cute skirt are probably kind of gay

i am in a dry spell too, and the last 2 girls i have dated have been losers also. maybe we should get together. jk lol. it's just a coincedence. clothes had nothing to do with it.
