I'm guessing you don't live in downtown Chicago.
Post some No Trespassing signs, and have a talk with your neighbor. If it should happen again, have him arrested for violating your posted signs.

You need a little legal counsel. I don't know your resources where you live but there is usually a place where you can get counsel even if you don't have the money. Ask at any government agency. The laws are different in different areas. Find out what your laws are and how you can make sure they are enforced. If necessary go to a public meeting, town hall or city/county meeting and voice your complaint. Sometimes a letter to the editor of your newspaper works. There must be at least half a dozen ways to approach the problem.

File a belated criminal trespassing report. Maybe go to the station in person and speak to the desk officer... they could get the ball rolling at least.

From an evil neighbor perspective perhaps a single shot from a pellet gun would ensure he would never use the pool again muahahha.

Whats a back yard fans? Try turning it into your insurance and then ask them to go after the person who did it.. you can file a police report at the station,, just take some pictures for evidence..

If you talk like you write, the police don't know what you are talking about. They probably think it is a prank call. After reading this, I agree that you should have your attorney write the letter. LMAO

Dude...you need someone to proof read what you write down.

And your neighbour didn't violate your privacy. If he did invade your property line, then you need to let him know about it first BEFORE you call the police. And you have two offenses that I can think of: damage to your property and/or tresspassing.

File a special civil action for mandamus in court to order your neighbor to reinstate your fence or to make a proper substitute of it.
