They pass remarks like- How come your not married, can't get a man? Why don't you go out with him[they point to the most disgusting guy]? And then they want to know my personal affairs so they could talk about me.

Its amazing what jealousy does to people.
They leave the impression that they are not satisfied with their choices in life and need to pick on someone.
I would share nothing with them, that's how outrageous rumors and small talk starts.
Women of that caliber get no sympathy from this guy, "me" that is writing this response to you.
Attacking me or anyone else is childish....LOL....
You are fine....Be happy with your choices in life.....if a guy comes along that you want to commit to...that's all your own decision as well...not from some unhappy married woman or women...HA!!

Unless you really need something from these women, don't answer these remarks or make yourself a target for this type of abuse. Buy and wear a wedding band. If your "husband" doesn't show, there are a zillion reasons, such as he is caring for his sick parents, he lives bi=coastal, you are trying a separation in hopes of reconciliation.
These tiny "white lies", although not to your boss, or personnel, to women socially should stop these remarks.
If this abuse is at work, you may approach an H.R. person, and tell them it's adversely affecting you, and you want to wear a wedding band. Ask for a simple explanation you can give which is acceptable and won't create gossip. Most H.R. people are resourceful, compassionate, etc., just so you are a good worker.

These women are conditioned to believe that part of their "status" is their ability to keep a man. It's self-validation -- proof of their desirability. I find that these are also the women who believe that they're more attractive due to their status and how established they are in life -- it's like trying to "be a guy," really. "I do this, I do that, I do this and that." Honestly, men could care less about that stuff. A strong, independent, successful woman is no more sexy than the girl who works at McDonald's around the corner if she's cute.
And you do NOT owe these women an explanation.
If you're having trouble finding a guy to date, or you find yourself not able to keep a guy around for very long, I suggest dating someone outside of your normal dating range. Maybe put yourself out there a bit more and try for someone a little more... risqu'e. You might like it.

They are just jealous because u are pretty and single and they are not. those are the kind of women that felt they had to settle cause they couldn't do any better. are these women fat or ugly?.Sorry i know that sounds bad but hey the truth hurts. most likey they just want to talk about u to make them selves feel better. I'm not say in I'm beautiful or anything but i recently lost a lot of weight and since then people i know don't treat me the same. talk about me, don't hang out with me anymore. they are mad cause u are single and free to date whoever u choose, and have standards in men.they probably don't. as for what u should do, just kill them with kindness and if they give u cruel remarks just give them another remark with a smile. they want u to feel bad, don't give them that pleasure.

There are a lot of people in the world so find someone else to hang out with - I mean it! Women can be the worst! I am married but trust me that kind of person always finds a button to push. I act friendly and polite but avoid conversation of any depth. Really they don't care about us, they just want to make us feel "less than" and if they get something out of us it is grist for their gossip mill.
