They are all outgoing & flirty to me on myspace - then at school I just see them staring at me.... do I just attract the shy guys or something....?

Poeple often feel that they have some sort of saftey behind the computer monitor, and have the right to some sort of anonimity and expect you to feel the same. What they dont realize is that once they post their picture on my space, or any other place on the web, they no longer have a claim to anonimity.
I must agree with you asking the question. I am attending a college where there are a lot of people on myspace and you send them ad request and email and than when you get to school its like you dont exist. I also believe that there is some sort of non-emotional detachment when having conversations via-email.

Well the internet does provide a medium in which shy guys can bust out heeps without any fear or hesitation. Unfortunly being shy guys means that its hard for them to bust out irl. Perhaps you should go up to them and say hi, although after all the flirting on myspace it may feel embarresing heh

Shy guys prefer online social services, like myspace, since they feel more secure to socialize this way.

the reason they only talk to you on myspace is cuz it's a lot easier say something to someone through a computer screen then in person. it's easier to say hey you're cute. but then at school they don't want to say it to your face.

They might just be shy. If you want, go over and talk to them at school and see if they're any different. They may just be afraid to make the first move.

because the web is a BIG place you know and there will be more guys that will be interested in you. Also, you know guys, they're wierd and some of them would rather do that you in a place that they really dont know you.

Internet talking is alot less stressful for young guys, as they dont have to see your face to face, and if they are getting embarrassed - you cant tell!

because, as rude as it sounds, they are just bored. If guys really liked u, they wouldnt just stare. People are diff on the computer, i can assure you of that

They are chicken. Walk right up to one of them and tell them to tell you something interesting. Be playful. One of them will come out of his shell.
