the above answer is ok if you can read it.

Almost all of the items are directly replaceable (lights, generator, etc..) you do NOT have to swap out the fuses.. there are no such things as 6 volt or 12 volt fuses - fuses are rated by amps).

The toughest thing will be the windshield wiper motor. You will need to get a 12v motor from a wreck and then mount it on to the carrier under your hood. That is a bit tricky but it can be done.

Don't forget to swap out your flashers and relays for the 12v ones. those are NOT fuses and will need replacements./

If you have a 12 GENERATOR you will need a voltage relay. If you have a 12 ALTERNATOR it will likely be complete.

Lastly, check your carb. Is it an electric element (replace it) or manual - don't worry.

good luck...

All V.W.'s from day one were negative ground. 6v flasher will be ok, just flashes quicker. 12v fuses must be ordered from N.A.S.A. >Jokeing bout fuses. You must change generator stand also. 36 H.P. can be changed by useing a porche 12v. generator.
