"Dont use my comb, I have dandruff and its contagious"
That just doesnt sound right--but is he right? Will I start to develop dandruff from using his comb on my scalp?

No, dandruff is caused by a dry scalp or over use of hair products.
However, just like a toothbrush, you should have your own combs and hair brushes for sanitary reasons. What if one of you contracted head lice off of a hat you tried on in a store or something. Now that is contagious.

No...you can not "catch" dandruff from another person. Dandruff is a form of dry skin from the scalp. Trade him some Selsum Blue for his comb and call it a day.

If he has dandruff then there will be dandruff in the comb, so why would you want to get that in your hair? It would be contagious in that sense, at least.
Why aren't you using your own comb? He doesn't go around using your lipstick, does he?

Dandruff is normal elimination of the dead skin cells of the scalp. There are other conditions out there which result in excessive flaking and sores and can be contagious.

I don't know if it's true or not but don't use his comb. He may have some contagious condition and he just said dandruff to hide the truth or, maybe he just doesn't want you using his comb and it would be rude if you did.

No. Dandruff is like excema, but on the scalp. It's like an allergy. It's hereditary, but not contagious. He doesn't want you using his comb. But you don't want flakes in your hair anyway, so just get one of your own and let him have his.

No. Dandruff is a skin condition that can't be passed on. Talk to any stylist though and they would recommend you do not use any brushes or combs that aren't your own.

Dandruff is NOT contagious. Although, you should not use anyone's comb or brush - even if it is your brother.

No, dandruff is caused by dry scalp. I still wouldnt want to use his brush even if he has dandruff anyway...
