is there a connection between cancer and scented candles? I heard that wicks have lead but i dont see the connection...

Now a days, EVERYTHING is bad for you.....it's ridiculous! I dont think that scented candles are going to cause cancer anymore then talking on a cell-phone will.

It could be the fact that scented candles could lead to nausea and vomiting after chemo or radiation. Other than that I see not problem. But maybe I am wrong the link below has cancer candles.

Scents make a person who is recieving treatment for cancer nauseated beyond belief. Smells which you think are like heaven are turning your friend inside out.
I think your friend is trying to keep you from causing him.her to vomit their head off and being nice about it.

it may have more to to with being exposed to chemicals whilst on chemo an radiation. The bodies immune system is a it's weakest, so, it can't handle anything foreign

Wicks haven't had lead in them for years.

there are LOTS of people LIKE ME....who are allergic to scented things...Dr's usually ask patients nowadays to quit using perfume, etc.
