You were in the Mind of God , even before you mother conceived you God knew you.
Heaven or Hell , there is no two way about it. It all depend on what you sowed here you will reap there. Not Good works but rather on your willingness to acknowledge God and believes in Who He Said He Is and What He (Jesus) Has done on your behalf- and that is, taking your place, dying for your sins and dying in your place. Do your believes?
The time in between is for your to grow up either into a mature son of God after having been born of the uncorruptable Seed (God's Life-Jesus Living In the Believers-Treee of Life) or be more and more wicked and darkened in the mind and acts by following the Prince of Darkness and all that he can offer you in this world, the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life, to lives in the illusion that you are your own gods and you need not have to acknowledge HIM -YOUR CREATOR AS GOD !
IF you are gods then He(God) cannot be God but the devil will be your god in the background which you don't even know existed !

There is a reason that no one knows anymore about that than I do and I know nothing about it. Their are however some excellent story tellers and that they are really good about making stories up and actually getting other people to believe the story. The truth is that it would not be the same learning experience if we had that knowledge. By knowing nothing it is a better test of who we are as soul's to experience this living as human beings stuff.

-When I was born, I was created by God into my mother's woumb. (with dad of course!!!)
-When I die, I chose Heaven, and that's where I will go. Christ is my saviour.
-The reason of the inbetween... A life time to seek the truth, then make a choice after knowing what God is, who He is and what He offers. (only then one can make a choice, with all the facts from all the sides, and having the discernment to see difference between truth and lie, godly and evil) that is personal!

I was in another world before I was born. The time between that is this world is for us to gain good deeds so that we can have an eternal life of happiness in heaven after we die. If we commit more sins than good deeds, then we have to serve our punishment in hell until we are freed from our sins and then enter heaven.

I'm answering this Biblically. Before I was born, God had me in his mind. Meaning, he knew me before I was in the womb. Where do you go when you die? If you confess and repent of your sins and ask Jesus to become the Lord of your life you will go to heaven. If you reject Jesus Christ or reject the knowledge God has given all of us , that we are sinners and need forgiveness , you will be eternally separated from God. We are suppose to love and serve God here on earth

you were born because your parents were having a baby and you didn't die yet, hence, there's time in between. the purpose is whatever you decide to give it; whether this be God's plan for you (wise choice), or your own (not so wise)
