i tried atcins , but the no fruit thing didnt work out . i dont want to have to go to weight watchers meetings or stuff like that . if you tell me a diet plan could you please tell me good exercises that would go with it and what the food requirements are . it doesnt have to be an official diet like south beach it just has to be some thing that youve tried & that worked. the longer answer the better! thanks

MONDAY All the fruit you want except banana
TUESDAY All the vegetables you want
WEDNESDAY All the fruit & vegetables you want.
THURSDAY 5 bananas with 5 glasses of milk
FRIDAY 4 (3 oz beef/chicken or fish steaks) with fresh vegetables
SATURDAY 4 (3 oz. beef steaks) with fresh vegetables
SUNDAY 4 (3 oz. beef steaks) with fresh vegetables

Losing weight is easy. Do this:

1. Stop drinking sugary drinks all together.
(no cokes, no kool aid, nothing)
2. Don't eat fast food or frozen pizza at home.
3. Don't eat junk food
(no chips, cookies, cake)
4. Do not stay at home all day.
5. Control portions of the food you eat.
6. Eat a lot of filler foods that are low in fat and carbs.
7. Do not eat high fat foods (you know what these are)
8. Use common sense.
9. Do not eat after 7 or 8 o'clock at night
10. Eat a bigger breakfast and lunch than supper
11. Do not skip breakfast.
12. Eat lots of vegetables and a good bit of fruit.
13. If you do slip and eat something fatty or full of carbs, forget about it and keep going with your diet.
14. Believe in yourself.
15. Don't tell anyone who won't support you.
16. Eat lunch by yourself if people at work eat lots of fatty foods.
17. Don't buy anything from convenience stores or vending machines.
18. If you have to have sweet drinks, drink Diet drinks or Propel (fitness waters).
19. Don't eat packaged foods.
20. COOK!!!

Exercise will do little to help you lose weight until you change what you eat.

Consider this:
1 hour of running = about 800 calories burned
1 bag of chips = 1950
1/2 of that is about 1000 calories
1/4 of that is about 500 calories.

It is very hard to burn enough calories to make up for poor eating habits.

DON'T EAT LIKE A KID, EAT LIKE AN ADULT!!!

WHAT TO EAT/DRINK:

Drink lots of water...milk helps too!!!
Eat lots of fruits
Eat lots of Vegetables

DO NOT eat a lot of junk food and sweets. Sweets and junkfood are all right here and there but dont take too much in. Because all the sugar you do not burn all turns into fat.

EXERCISING:

Try exercising everyday like,

Walking by yourself, friends, or dog
Try doing an hour of exercising a day or more
Pushups and situps
Find a sport that you like to do like swimming, soccer, etc



1 pound=3000 calories!

See how much calories you consume a day and try to cut down on calories. Try eating 1000 calories a day or something!






If you are a junk food person or pop person or something, cut back little by little a day. If you eat 3 bags of chips a day, try eating 2 bags of chips a day for 1 week. If you can do that without cheating, try eating 1 bag a day for a week. If you can get that far, try eating a bag every once in a while but not every day. Same idea with pop.

When exercising, listen to music on your ipod, stereo, or cd player if you are exercising inside. Like if you are exercising doing 100 jumping jacks, 100 situps, 50 pushups, and a couple of other things, listen to music and enjoy it while exercising.

It all depends on how much exercising you do if you are doing light exercising or strenuous exercising. Do not overwork yourself. If you absolutely positivly must rest, rest. Yes, you do have to push yourself to sweat and to lose weight but don't overwork yourself.

DONT GO BULEMIC OR ANOREXIC!!! THAT IS REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD FOR YOUR BODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


When you wake up, try waking up in the morning and start off with a healthy breakfast. During school or somethign or if you wake up to do activities, never skip breakfast or try not too!!! If you are in a hurry to leave, grab a granola bar or a peice of fruit! Always eat something than nothing!

to get permanent results you have to make permanent lifestyle (diet and exercise) changes
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body - we cant choose which body part to lose it off - 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
