Let me know what you think about this scenario. Since Darrell Waltrip said on wind tunnel this week that Dale's new sponsor was still going to be a drink but wouldnt reviel who it made me ponder. When DW went later in his career I believe that he went to Hendrick and didnt do much but finally won a Daytona 500 in an 88 green and white gatorade car. Since Pepsi and Gatorade are sister companies and Pepsi and Hendrick have had a longstanding relationship wouldnt this seem like a perfect fit. Why else would DW be all giggly like he was during the interview? My Prediction #08 Gatorade green machine!!! Let me know what you think.

DW drove the 88 Gatorade during the 70's before driving a mountain dew and then tide. Its too early to tell who Dale Jr.'s sponsor will be.

As far as what number will be on the car I dont believe it will be the number 8, it could be 08 which as far as I know is not currently on a car. For those of us that get confused with the numbering I will point this out....you know how Marting Truex Jr. drives the number 1 Bass Pro Shops car and Mark Martin drives the 01 Army car that is what is meant.

Although the Gatorade idea has merit I see an 08 Pepsi Blue car in Dale Earnhardts future. 08 in 08 sounds good to me. Pepsi the choice of a new generation or maybe the choice of a new JR nation.

By the way Bud has another year left on it's contract with DEI and if you think that Teresa is going to let them back out of that you need to open another one. She'll fight it in court if she has to and by the time the lawyers file their papers it will be too late for them to go anywhere with JR.

And as a side note I'd like to see Kyle Bush drive the Bud car next year. Then when him and his brother wreck again we could have a Bush Brothers Beer Bash! LOL

Well if it is Gatorade then it could almost be any color. They have like 2 million different flovors. I could see that it being Gatorade or they could end up with Pepsi. But either would be cool. I don't think that Kyle Busch would be a good spokes person for Bud. If anything Bud should go to Truex and Bass Pro go to Kyle if that is where kyle ends up

It would be cool to see that car, but Hendrick is already covered in sponsorships. He may be able to somehow make way for Budweiser, but that would be the extent of it, I believe.

I heard Jr. talking about his sponsors before he even picked a team. He said he talked to Budweiser and said that they were going with him. I don't know if they still are but thats what I heard in the beggining.

It could very well be Gatorade. If I remember correctly, he said it could be a drink that wasn't in a red can. It could be Mountain Dew. I remember Brian Vickers doing the Dew commercials a couple of years ago.
