I ask this because I shot a nifty little 74 at Pebble today. Am I going to hell?

Bugsie, I happen to carry a 1 iron. Who knows why, but I hit it to about 15, 18 feet on 14 today. Missed the putt, but that's not the point here. I hit that 1 iron stiff, baby. You say your God can't do that?

Why not? The simpleton logic of most theists is that if something exists it must have a cause, and that the character traits of that cause must in some way be reflected in its creation. The argument from causation and design, if it were not so self contradictory and wrong, could be applied to prove any sort of God. These argumentative tactics simply aren’t specific enough to merely establish the existence of a specific God like the Judeo-Christian one.
As far as you going to hell, don’t worry about it. The claims made by those who believe in a God who would condemn you for statements like this, are spurious. Besides, a God who would condemn you for statements that were obviously made in jest is a God that is devoid of a sense of humor. Why would you want to spend eternity with such a prude? To me that sort of existence sounds more like hell than heaven
