When you have a conversation with a girl who you feel like blowing up at because when you were mean to each other in the past, but instead you try to restrain your temper, focus on the good things about her(how hard of a worker she is etc...)are gentle with her,and give her the space she needs afterwards. She responds favorably giving you a sign of warmth peacefulness and with a bit of a smile on her face.Is this respect or integrity you showed/also is her reaction a good thing?

respect, because integrity is something different. but respect will always be extremely difficult to obtain or give, so kudos. and yes, i believe her reaction was a good thing. surprise, by the sound of it, but a good thing nonetheless.

Respecting her and self-control rather.
Of cos... it's a good thing to exercise level headedness and maturity when it comes to a relationship.
Blowing ya head and being mean hurts any relationships.

this is showing respect because you care so much for this person you dont want to hurt her and her reaction is gratitude because she realizes the emotion toward her
