Don't try to make sense of it. People have been trying to make sense of it for over 2,000 years. The fact is, the scriptures were written by our ancient, ignorant, and rather superstitious ancestors, and the entire accounting of the story of Jesus was contributed by four people. And people believe it, despite all the irrationalities, scientific contradictions, and logical fallacies. It amuses me, personally, yet utterly horrifies me that so many people could accept such a delusion.

1) God created the world, and gave us a brain to use as we wish. God wasn't interested in creating robots who have to obey his every command. He wishes for us to make a choice to follow Him. Man by nature is sinful, and God felt sorry for man. He loves us (whether or not you think we are "insignifigant" clearly God doesn't.).
2) God didn't choose for Jesus to die, but Jesus understood this would be the only way to save man from His sins. Jesus chose to follow God knowing what would happen in the end. He did this again, out of love. That's the part you can't accept... what, were you not loved by a parent or something? You seem not to understand the value of love and the idea of sacrifice. It leads one to conclude you are selfish and cold (but that's only an assumption).
3. It wasn't the "best" solution, it was the ONLY solution to the problem. Clearly, the sacrifice DID get people's attention... all over the world. It's something that is remembered throughout history and has stood the test of time. God doesn't have to use a "bloodbath", but it worked pretty well in this case. Like it or not, His solution certainly fulfilled His plan to see more and more people accept salvation as Christianity spread throughout the world. Looks like He knew exactly what He was doing.

It is said in the Bible that to non-believers, the Word is nonsense. Here is an example of that. God didn't create sin. He created everything good in the world. Because of our choices that the human popluation made even back to Adam and Eve times, we were doomed for sinful nature. Satan began to entice us to sin, and so many of us fall into the temptation. The whole world was doomed to be destroyed in Hell, and there was nothing God could do because he wanted us- HE LOVES US SO MUCH! but yet, he hates sin and trys to destroy it automatically. Because we are sin, this isn't possible to keep us and get rid of sin because it was already in the world.
The only other sonlution that could measure up was if he sent his own Son to die for us. In this way, it shows how much he loves us. He even got Jesus to rise again on the 3rd day- he is still alive and with us (up there).
WE were supposed to die. That was US who was supposed to be on the cross. Instead, God wanted to prove how much he loves US by saving US from having to die.
Instead he saved us, AND offers us eternal life. Who would pass and offer like that down?
And besides, the human mind isn't capable to accept the ideas from the Bible. We are not able to understand. It just can't happen. So don't worry so much as to it's not logical, or it doesn't make sense, because it never will. Our brains can't process such a great and extravagant idea, which is what it truly is.

Okay sweetie, you've got it all wrong. God did not torture his own son, Jesus died by the orders of a man...a human being NOT a God. Jesus was the closest thing we have had and ever will have to God on Earth. When Jesus was born, he knew who his father was and he already knew his purpose. He spent his life teaching about God, his Father. To make a long story short, Jesus never committed one sin while he was here on Earth or anywhere else. But Jesus knew that when he was on Earth, he would have to be a "sacrificial lamb". He offered of himself so that the rest of humanity could be saved. God did not kill his son. But, God gave man free will to accept or reject Jesus' teachings. Because some people rejected what Jesus was teaching they decided that he would die upon the cross for his "crime" as was a common practice during those times. They did not realize that they were just fulfilling a prophecy. Basically, Jesus died for our sins. God did not kill Jesus for our sins. This is why we no longer have to offer sacrifices in order to ask for God's forgiveness like they used to in the Old Testament...because Jesus gave of himself...he was pure and free from sin but offered himself as a sacrifice. If this still is a little fuzzy to you, as I am not a minister nor preacher, etc., you may want to attend a Bible study class so that you can learn more. :-)

If a deity was so all powerful as the christian deity is said to be then they wouldn't need any sacrifices; especially blood ones. You would think that something that is supposedly far superior to the human race would be above that.
The christian deity shows far too many human traits to be omnipotent. It craves attention like a toddler and acts just like one too when it gets angry.

1) God needed to send his son in order to restore his relationship with mankind, which was originally destroyed by sin. The penalty of sin is death. Through redemption from Christ, our sins are forgiven and fellowship is restored between man and God.
Also, Jesus was sent in human form in order to experience the pain and suffering we endure as human beings. For example, rejection, criticism, loneliness, betrayal were all things that Christ went through during his time on Earth. This allows for believers to better relate to our Saviour in experiences we deal with in our day to day lives.
If our Saviour were not human and was instead some powerful being that dominated over every other creature, I am positive that many humans would be reluctant, or would feel unworthy to approach Christ.
2) God's love is beyond human comprehension.
3) It is the best solution. Jesus Christ, son of God, came to the Earth in the most humblest way (manger in a stable) to reach the lowliest of humanity. Imagine if Jesus came in the glory he deserved. The ones God intended to reach (the poor, the rejected, etc.) would be excluded from redemption.

God need someone to repay the sins that Adam has caused us. Adam was perfect, so you need a perfect being for an equal sacrifice. It's the same if someone gives you a expensive gift, you want to give an expensive gift back. So the only perfect being that fit the sacrifice is Jesus. And the reason that God didn't choose one of his Angels is because Angels can sin, hence Satan and his followers. Jesus chose to do this because his love for humans, so it wasn't a force thing. With the sacrifice, we don't need to do animal sacrifice because through prayer God can forgive our sins if we are willing to repent from our sins.
I hope this helped.

1) Compared to God we are nothing...but TO God we are everything. We are his children.
1a) He set the rules and knew that we would screw up. Jesus volunteered to atone for our sins so that we had a way to return to the Father. So now we can choose to take upon ourselves and pay for our own sins or we can have a humble heart and contrite spirit and accept the gracious, loving gift offered to us in the atonement.
2) Actually, Jesus volunteered. He loves us as much as the Father does and wanted to make sure we had every chance to return home.
3) Jesus died for much more than just our sins. He suffered our pains and our sorrows. He knows how to comfort us, and we know he can, because he has gone through it all already. All of it was done out of love and mercy by both the Father and the Son.

You've used the classic argument against the existence of God,
"God has attribute Y and attribute X"
"Attribute Y conflicts with attribute X"
"Therefore God cannot exist"
There's a million other arguments that follow this structure, for example "God is all powerful, and all good, yet evil exists. Either God is not powerful enough to stop evil, or God created evil despite being good."
All these arguments simply prove the same conclusion: That God is different things to different people, he is not simply an individual being

God did not send his son to be killed. No one can kill a pure devotee. Jesus was in a mystic trance on the cross (appearing to have died) This is a practice that great yogis can perform. He actually went on preaching for years after the Cross. He said those who believe in me Will be saved. Believing means following his teachings. Like "Go and sin no more." They don't know the truth because of King Constantine at the council at nicea in 324 AD who had the original New testament burned. This was easy to do back then because only the higher ups in the church and government had copies and women couldn't read. The original followers of Jesus called the Essenes had to go into hiding because they where being killed by the Roman church and government for proclaiming what Jesus said. They hid a copy of the original NT and it is available in English with historical documentation of its authenticity. Jesus lived to teach us how to be saved from our Karma. When one accepts Him into their heart and follows strictly his teachings He takes away their sinful reactions from the past. One is responsible for their actions from that point on. This is the laws of Karma which Jesus originally taught. He never said that he died for our sins, man made that up so he could delude himself and others to continue sinning. google gospelofthenazirenes.com for the original new testament. Following the truth will set you free.
