you mean by public transportation?

You can take NJTransit as far south as Bay Head. If you need to go more south than that, you need to take a bus.

Hi, actually I drive this trip couple of times a week, as I live close to seaside hights and have something to do in Manhattan, usually I do George Washington Bridge ---> NJ Turnpike South ---> take exit 11 to Garden State Parkway South ---> Till exit 82B, which is Seaside Hights, but friday afternoon, I would take NJ Turnpike to GSP exit 123, to RT 9 south, as this might be better that GSP, at the time U indicated, hope this help

A Friday at 5pm trying to get to the Jersey Shore?
You are going to sit in lots and lots of traffic!
If you can get yourself over to the Tappan Zee bridge, you can connect up with the Garden State Parkway and go south.
But you are going to regret it at that time of day.
If you can, I really suggest you wait until later at night. It will save you lots of aggravation.
