Is it because someone just gave them a gun, a car, a badge, and the ability to be right, involving anything, anywhere, anytime, no matter what?

They are given the authority to do thing they cannot otherwise do. This is often referred to as being " badge heavy", letting your authority go to your head. This doesn't happen to every cop, but it happens to a small number, especially those who have been pushed around as kids.

It couldn't have anything to do with having to deal with wise azz, know-it-all clowns like you? I'm guess you got busted for speeding or with some pot and you went to great lengths to explain to the officer why he was wrong to bust you and how you were going teach him a lesson in law enforcement. And how you were going to have his badge and how you knew how to do his job better than he does and that he shouldn't be wasting his time with punks like you.

Grow up and face your responsibilities.
