Like one peice, 2 peice, bikini? Anyway...my opinion is that as long as the major parts are covered then it's ok. No spillage. Anyone agree?

I wear a swim suit that has shorts for bottoms and my top is covered also, just for those thinking that I am being revealing.

I am from USA I am not going to cover my body from head to toe. Think about swimming with 10 lbs. of clothes on? I am not islamic. I am not meaning this in a mean way. Usually when I go swimming it is in a lake anyway with family. I don't want people looking at my body!!!!!!!

Absolutely. Most don't leave anything to the imagination anymore, and are really disgusting. And, why even bother wearing anything?

The key is not what a person wears but how what the person wears affects others. If a woman wears a skimpy swim suit or an extremely low cut shirt or blouse or a skirt that shows a lot of leg/thigh in front of other women, it would not be an issue unless some of the other women were lesbian. If however a woman would wear the same thing in front of a man, odds are, the way she was dressed would initiate inappropriate sexual feelings (lust). Men are wired differently from women and what they see with their eyes is turned internally and becomes like sexual foreplay.

Modesty is the best policy...and even then, some men will still be turned on by the most innocent gesture or comment.....but in that instance, the fault would not be the womans as she had taken action not to tempt him.

Remarkably, this concept is the primary reason Muslim women keep themselves covered...because Muslim men realize how vulnerable they are to even the slightest hint of sexuality.

Yes there should be a limit, if you are christian your body is the temple of the holy spirit therefore certain parts of your body should be completely covered. You should wear something that is not too short because (if you are a christian you shoul be an example for others. Even though people around you wouldn't care but listen you should present yourself wherever you are as a Christian, because you are Christ diciples. You don't have to tell people you are a christian but you actions should speak and so when you preach people can see that you are different from the others.

I say skinny dip if you want. People should be allow to exercise their will any way they wish as long as nobody else gets hurt in the process. A little skin never hurt anyone, and a lot of skin can be pretty darn good. Who's going to enforce said limits anyway? the fashion police?

I am a Christian male, Put the male part to the front. When I see a woman dressed in very skimply, sexual thoughts go through my head. I can't help it. Jesus tells us in mat 5 that if we look at a woman to lust after her we have committed adultery with her in our hearts already. Do you really what you have all the old guys wanting to have sex with you? In the bible it tells us not to do any thing that might mike our brother stumble and dressing skimpy will make all men stumble.

A transparent bathing suit wouldn't be such a good idea. Otherwise, I have no problem. I don't worry about what other people wear, and I'm happy in my tourquoise one-piece.

Yes, I think they should cover ALL of the essential parts, not just barely cover them. It's "too much information."

War, famine, pestilence, rampant world hunger, homelessness....

and a discussion exists on whether or not a bathing suit is 'immodest'?

The answers speak for themselves. If what someone wears is 'offending' your spirituality, there is alot more wrong with your spirituality than simple immodesty.
