question :

is this what the anti-immigrants feel when they talk talk talk about how is it than they represent all of America but can't even make a march worth any news ???

were is the talk talk talk about how it was that they would prove all of the Americans were mad ???

MAIN QUESTION :

how is it possible that the anti-immigrant sentiment of this minority ( as they should properly be addressed as ) was NOT able to have a number remotely close to the number of pro-immigrant which marched nor in their marches or in the total of letters they sent ???

FACT :

a way bigger number of pro-immigrants marched than the so called " huge " number of letters against a legalization ???

what makes is it so hard for this group of people to accept than America does not agree with them ???

A lie becomes reality to people who don't have control of their own minds. To people who are weak & easily persuaded. It becomes reality to those whose hearts have hardened to their fellow man in need because of their selfish desire to maintain their own personal level of comfort. It becomes reality to people who are weak & are satiated with a false sense of power by being one of what they perceive as the majority. It's called peer pressure. The power of expression. Remember back in the days of segregation? Many jumped on board & freely used the "n" word & spat upon Blacks. They "believed" that Blacks were inferior because that's the lie they were told. I wonder how many of THOSE same people would act the same today? My guess, very few. We have been able to come to the realization that the way we treated Blacks was unfair, uncivilized & downright wrong. Just the same as we will many years down the road realize that the treatment of new Hispanic immigrants is wrong. God has truly blessed America because in all of our stupidity & our insistance on learning the same lessons over & over again He still blesses us. We need to focus more on those blessings & stop picking on those who only naturally want to partake in those blessings. A lie told a thousand times is still a lie. Those who choose to believe it are living a lie regardless of how many people choose to believe it.

I suppose that you don't think that the last vote for cloture
has anything to do with all of the anti-immigrants sending
emails, letters and making phone calls to their Congress
men and women has had any affect? This bill was trying
to be ram-rodded down our throats, we don't need to march
because the Politicians don't give a damn about marches
they care about people telling them that if they vote for this
bill we well vote them out of office.

Look where Hitler's lies got him.

The anti-immigration (illegal immigration) is the MAJORITY
not the minority and your lie can not be told enough to
make it come anywhere near the truth.

First fact is simple to answer! Those of us who oppose illegal immigration have real: jobs, lives, and real demands on our time. Many of those who demonstrated for pro-illegal immigration don't have any of those things so they can go to all these rallies. The Letter boxes were proved to be empty.
Second fact is pure fiction since they are part of America also therefore American can not not agree with them. Other Americans may disagree with them but America can not America is not alive. Duhhhh.

I do not have a problem with legal immigration. I think illegal immigrants are criminal just like murderers, rapists, child molesters, thieves, and dirty old men who expose themselves in the park.

Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hardworking and honest (except for when I broke into your house). According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part). If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there. It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hardworking and honest, um, except for well, you know. And what a deal it is for me! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being an anti-housebreaker. Oh yeah, and I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me. Sound a little bit off the mark??

I wish illegal immigrants would be treated accordingly and jailed for an extensive period of time and not be granted any amenities during incarceration but rather would have to work even to eat in jail. I do not think the children of illegal immigrants should be given any type of citizenship and should be deported as well. I am tired of paying for other people's children to go to the doctor and go to school.

Because they do not belong to a lobby that is paying for protestors to stand there like most other of those groups do.

Do you believe most protestors in marchs and carrying signs are necessarily in the group they represent? Well, I hate to bust your bubble, but MANY of them are paid to stand or march there.
Most of us who are against illegals are regular Americans with JOBS and we cannot afford to go to marches.
The majority of Americans are anti - illegals.
I have sent many many faxes to my senators and representatives.

If a lie is heard enough times ,some actually start believing in that lie and start parroting it to others . Their so called polls and "facts" are not credible. I have to laugh when I see those "facts".

Um, ask the Senators who were deluged with phone calls and emails TELLING them to vote no on so-called immigration.

It would help if the people coming here were actually going to become Americans instead of what they are doing.

Your facts are incorrect.

Fact: 80% of Americans are against amnesty and want our current laws enforced.
Fact: We didn't need a huge turnout as we are fighting at the local levels with emails, calls and faxes.
Fact: We are being heard.
