You will have three month's to lose 100 pounds. I'm not saying that this cannot happen because it can. However you go about losing this weight will impact you on whether you will keep it off or not. The best way to lose weight is to count calories and exercise. You have to burn off more than you eat each day. You should never target yourself to lose more than 10 pounds per week. Do it the healthy way and your results will last a lifetime. Remember, you did not gain the weight as fast as you want to lose it. Good Luck.

I can't stress this enough: Get professional help. A doctor or nutritionist will be better than setting impossible goals for yourself or using secondhand info off the internet. Do you have a thyroid problem? Diabetes? These things can be easily found by a doctor and you need to be careful if you have any sort of condition if you are going to diet. Back when I was in school a 19yr old guy had a heart attack after going on a starvation diet without any heed to a pre-exsisting condition he had. Body fat content is a better mark of health than weight. Having a doctor find your BMI (body mass index) will help set a goal you can reach. Also about 7lbs a month is as much as you can safely lose at a time, and its not easy so you may want to calculate how much time you have and pick a simple goal like going down a size or two in clothing, etc. And leaving the 100lb weight loss as a long-term goal to continuously work on.

Secondly: Everythng you've been eating and the level of activity you are used to will have to change a lot. The current pattern you are in has put you at a high weight so you have to make trade-offs on everything. Think: Do I usually eat a brownie/drink a soda/lie on the couch? For each bad thng, find a reasonable replacement and don't push yourself. Unreasonable goals lead to failure.

First off, you should not try to lose more than 1-2 lbs a week. Any more is unhealthy, and it will shut down your metabolism and make it harder for you to stay thin and to lose weight in the future. Take it from someone who's been there and done that.

Go to www.thedailyplate.com, and you can input your age, height, weight and all that data, and it will come back with your ideal weight and daily calorie goals for you. They have a discussion forum where you can talk about your diet, and there's a page where you can input what you eat every day and it will tell you how many calories you've had and how many you can still eat. It also lets you input your exercise each day, and will calculate the number of calories you've burned.

Good luck with your weight loss. Remember, though, that you put it on slowly. Taking it off the same way will be easier on your body, and more likely to last. If you lose 1-2 lbs every week this summer, you will look a LOT slimmer before school starts next fall.

I commend you for wanting to lose weight and getting the weight machine. You need to set lower goal for yourself as you begin on this project. Losing 100 pounds in a few months is not healthy. You need to set a goal of 20 or so pounds for the first 6 weeks or so. When you reach that, set another goal that is more easily attainable so that you don't get discouraged. There are many diets on the market but chose one that lets you eat real food so that you will be able to stay on the diet and not crave things you can't have. Try Weight Watchers if you think you need a support group. One book you can buy is called Sugar Busters Diet. Kids tend to eat lots of sugary food and soda and this book helps in that regard. Do you have a parent that can help you with this and help to make good choices at the grocery store? Support is a major help when trying to diet. It also helps if other people in your family eat the same food. Make sure that you know what real portions look like as most dinners are enough calories for two or more people. Also, you may want to talk to your Doctor before you start this process just to get a medical opinon on your health status. Good luck.

first of all, if you lose 150 pounds, seeing that your current weight is around 220, you would only weight 70 pounds. DO not lose more than 100, please don't do it. second of all, you can talk to your doctor about what kind of diet. don't take diet advice from people on the internet, if they suggest diet pills you could end up dead and most diets are a load of bull crap anyway. really the only people you should ask are you doctor and a nutritionist. and just be aware that you probably won't be able to lose 100 by the end of the summer, but you will get a pretty good head start. but whatever you do, don't go anorexic or bulimic, no matter how much you want to lose weight, its not safe to starve yourself or make yourself throw up. but im sure you know that. anyway, good luck on losing weight, im sure you will look fabulous once your finished!

You can lose weight by eating healthier and exercising more, but 100 pounds in about 2 months? That's 12.5 pounds per week! You will end up hurting yourself and end up in the hospital loosing that much that quickly.
Aim for a healthy weight loss of 2-3 pounds a week. That would give you 16-24 pounds in 2 months. You have to be realistic and be in this for the long haul. There's no instant gratification with healthy weight loss.

Trust me, you don't want to lose 150 pounds. You'll probably look like a stick figure if you lose that much weight. 100 is reasonable, but not in 2-3 months. You are young though, so if anybody can do it, a guy like you could. It's good though to diet and exercise. Keep it up.

A good way to loose weight is to use a calorie counter watch

Keep to a 1,200 food intake

Add 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) ...and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn't seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.

I use this method when i gain some pounds. The first time I did this I went from 168 to 127

umm losing 100 pounds in 2 months is definately NOT healthy.

you should aim for 2~ pounds a week.
and i've heard fad diets make you gain all the weight you lost back, so i'd suggest just eating healthily -- like fruit, and veggies and such-- and working out moderatly but dont overdue it!

good luck i hope this was helpful

ps if you need help about healthy eating and such look it up!

okay first of all, do NOT lose 150 pounds..that is way too much..

all you need to do is maybe go for a walk or a jog, or go to the gym everyday and keep a healthy diet and you will lose weight like that!
