All these answers are good but really the first time I played Call of Duty I had to instruct my partners on the weapons used .
An AK-47 is good for long distance shooting and street fighting for the size of the round used and the size of the weapon. It has a 30 round 30 Caliber Magazines and a good rate of fire.
The H&K MP-5 is a machine pistol with a shorter range and a smaller caliber bullet. It good in Special Ops uses an room to room fighting. It has a 30 round 9MM (40 Cal) magazine and a similar rate of fire as the AK
Indoors or close up MP-5 outdoors and far away AK I'd go with the MP and learn to sneak up on the enemy.

The other answers are good, but here is just a little more. The rate of fire or how fast a gun shoots its bullets: usually taken as 800 or 900 per minute for MP5 but on the real gun it is adjustable on full auto. The magazine can hold 15 or 30 rounds depending which clip you use.
The AK is usually taken to have a slightly lower rate of fire at around 700 rpm but again the real gun can be adjusted for different rates. Clips for the AK come in every size up to 150 barrel mags but is usually taken to be 30 rounds in games. The AK has a longer cartridge and more range and penetrating power over longer ranges while the MP5 is better close up, that is why it is used by the Police. Hope that helps.

The number of bullets that any weapon can fire is totally dependent on the capacity of it's magazine. The typical magazine size for assault weapons is thirty rounds. The MP-5 shoots a bullet that is less powerful than the AK-47. The right weapon to choose will highly depend on the mission requirements.

What shoots more bullets is not the right way to select a weapon of any kind. Correct selection depends upon what you are planning to do with it.
The MP5 is a close range sub machine gun firing lower powered 9mm pistol type rounds. Great in urban/indoors scenario's, its compact size, and light weight design making it perfect for room clearences. It can also be fitted with a silencer if needed. It can me made to fire single shot, bursts of 3 or whole mag.
Its key weakness is the 9mm rounds it fires, meaning it doesn't have much in the way of range.
The AK47 is an automatic assault rifle that fires 7.62mm rounds. Better suited to outdoor scenario's, but is one of the worlds most versatile weapons that can be used for most situations.
Its key weakness is its inaccuracy when firing in bursts, whereby the muzzle tends to rise a bit more with every shot fired, meaning that any more than bursts of 3-4 rounds will have limited accuracy.

an MP5 has a shorter bolt and therefore a greater cyclic rate (rate of fire) as the bolt has to travel less distance between shots than the bolt in an AK47. The MP5, however, shoots a smaller caliber bullet and is less effective at ranges of more than 50 yards or so.

MP5 Has a better firing rate- however this question isnt very helpful as the ak47 could have a drum mag as cool the mp5 and both could be constantly loaded with clips- srry

The AK-47 is very dependable so one could probably fire clip after clip without it jamming resulting in more bullets being shot.

if you are asking how many rounds does each hold then it depends on the clip. you need to see how many the game gives each weapon.

Both shoot the same. Depends on your magazine and the rate of fire. But both will shoot as many bullets as you put in them.
