Not really sure, but I'm 43 years old and been doing pretty much that for the past 22 years. My back hurts, my legs, arms...heck everything hurts!

What kind of stomping and how heavy are the loads? The answer, in general, is no to bone damage, but yes to joint damage. Bones actually like weight baring exercise--like walking, marching, climbing stairs, etc. It helps build bone density--important as women age to help prevent osteoporosis. However, joints (knees) are another story. Too much pressure or twisting and turning like with basketball or loading and unloading things that cause frequent turns of the legs, can cause significant stress on the knees. Joints can develop arthritis and/or cause damage that may need surgery to replace or fix. Moderation in all areas of life is what sustains us for our lifetime. It's not the year of the car that makes it old, it's the mileage.

Anything can cause damage even a little trough out the years. If you use the right footwear and carry the heavy load the right way not using your waist but your torso and hand you can minimize the damage.

Yes, it can. If you are lifting heavy things make sure you wear supportive shoes and maybe even a elastic back brace. Make sure you bend your knees when lifting, dont be lazy and bend your back. Take glucosamine every day, day and night or follow the directions. This helps keep joints healthy.
