i have a dentist appointment to fill a couple of cavities around 4:20, and my friend's (high school) graduation party is from 3-9!! should i plan on going like a few hours late or skip it altogether? i hate the dentist, and i really don't want to go slobbering all over the place.

I would let everyone know that you have a dentist app. and if you feel like going after wards then go. everyone will already know to expect it if you don't feel good and don't show up. And have another Party!

If it is a close friend, than change the dentist appointment and go to the party. If they are not, than either go to the party at the beginning or go after the appointment. Unless you are having a root canal or an extraction. You can also arrive later since the party ends around 9:00pm. The point is that you would have gone which would mean alot to your friend.

Go from 3 until 3:30 then go to the dentist. Or, go from 8-9 p.m. after the dentist to make a quick appearance. If you're her friend, at least show up for 5 minutes.

I would stop by at the beginning of the party, say hello and congrats, and then apologize and leave for the dentist and let them know you'll catch the end of the party if you feel up to it. By 6:30 or 7, the novacane probably will have worn off.

If you can't change your appointment, go early to the party then to the dentist and then if you feel good go back to the party.

Change the dentist appointment, its not hard.
Aren't grad parties usually at night, from like 10 till 5 in the morning? Who gets drunk at 3 in the afternoon?

Anyways, ya, you dont wanna miss your grad party. Its the last time your gonna see like 50% of your friends. half of them you dont keep in contact with, and half you'll still be chillin with.

go to the party after the dentist, and enjoy. a few hours are better than no hours. if novocaine wears off on you as fast as it does on me, it won't even show in an hour or so.

You should be fine by the time the anesthetic wears off. Say around 7:00 p.m. - or - you could go before and then see how it is later.

If your teeth aren't bothering you, then it might be better to see if you can reschedule dentist for another day.
