2. English:KJV then the Amplified
The NIV is a 100% no (bad watered down translation and leaves scripture out).The bible doesn't needed added to or taken from.The last place translation of the many I've read and studied.

You aren't going to like this, but it's true.
The most accurate and easily read Bible is the 'New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures'.
It has the works of Westcott and Hort, which were proclaimed and prized as the greatest Greek language interpreters of their time. They still are.
Their works are not accepted by most churches because it's does not back up their main doctrines.

In English, and for study, I prefer the NASB. The RSV is my second choice. For pure poetic beauty, the King James is the bast
