On Sunday, I noticed two ulcer looking things under his tail. Today I looked, and the ulcer is one big one. I'm getting worried!

He has lost a half pound this week, and I was going to take him to the vet yesterday, but my mom said he was acting better, so I just shrugged it off. But I just saw the ulcer a few mintues ago and the vet is closed now.

I don't know, but "butt poison" seems like a good guess.

You should call your vet soon! Perhaps it's a common reaction. That's what I'll keep my fingers crossed for. Hope everything turns out OK :)

Most towns and cities have 24 hour emergency vet service. Try to find one in the yellow pages and take your cat there tonight. If this is some sort of infection thing, your cat could become critically ill in a short period of time, so let your fingers do the walking. Also, if there is not something like that where you live, there may be other vets that have 24 hour on call service you could try. If you live in a pretty big city they will have vets that make housecalls 24 hours a day and it will cost you maybe 20 bucks more that an emergency visit.

Take him back to the vet. It sounds like some sort of allergic reaction, which may be harmless, but it is better to check than not to. Cats often act strangely after receiving vaccinations, but the ulcers could be something to worry about.

Well cats can get sick and feel weak or funny from vaccines. Its nothing serious. Some people are like that when they get their tetanus shot or flu vaccine. Its because your basically putting a bacteria into the bloodstream and its body might not think its normal. If this keeps happening for another week see a vet. Hope this helped

Its just a complete coincidence. I am a vet tech and have never heard of such a thing, and I vaccinate about 25 cats a day. I would keep an eye on the lumps and for any other signs (not eating, vomiting) etc, and if they grow go back to your doc.

You should probably take him back to the vet to get it looked at. He could have had an allergic reaction to any number of the vaccinations or something. Good luck.

You need to take him back to the vet. It might or might not be vaccine related. Some animals have reactions to shots.
Either way, better safe than sorry.

If you're reluctant to take him back to the vet for whatever reason, you should at least CALL the vet to see what they say.

well after shots they usually are lethargic but under the tail isn't the normal place they get shots so that may be not related to the shots. go and see your vet to check on that

Cats have anal glands back there that get irritated and swollen sometimes. It would be worth a vet visit if they get worse.
