It used to, but then they changed the formula. If you have really bad acne, I suggest using Clearasil Ultra. This stuff REALLY works and exfoliates better than anything I have ever tried. It is a little more expensive ($6-7), but it works way better. My teenage brother had really bad acne and blackheads and that was the only thing that worked for him, so I decided to try it. I know I sound like a commercial, but I am really that impressed with it.

Yes, but if you have really bad acne---the apricot may irritate it.
Scrubs are good---but too much scrubbing can bring MORE OIL to the surface and make the acne worse.
Try a dermatologist if you can afford it. OR Keep to a simple routine and stick to it. Don't ever wear make-up to bed. Change your pillow case often. Don't touch your face with hands and fingers----The sun can be you friend if you are sensible about it. Don't put anything too OILY or greasy on your face.
Look for oil-free and sensitive things, like moisturizers, etc. If you are really young---seek advice from someone in family. Some foods DO trigger break-outs.....Like shell-foods, peanuts----
Keep it simple. Keep it up! Keep it clean.
Good Luck!

I'm an exfoliator addict, and St Ives is a nice scrub, very invigorating.
BUT DO NOT USE if you have bad acne. The particles in the scrub are large and will aggravate your skin, causing redness and inflammation.
You need a very fine, gentle scrub like a gel scrub. Good luck!

It will not work for really bad acne. If you have really bad acne, you need a prescription for some sulfur based cream. That's the only thing that'll work, so go see your dermatologist. Apricot scrub is nice and makes already healthy skin feel really nice, and even glow, because it will remove dead skin cells. But it is a cosmetic, not a medicine, and if you have bad acne, you need a medicinal cream. Good luck.

Yeah I like it and i use it but I don't have serious acne. So as you say you have pretty bad acne I would not think it would work for that. I think you should get a dermatologists opinion for acne. Take care :)

I don't know if it works for acne, but It always makes my face feel fresh and very smooth. I love it, but you have to be careful not to use it everyday because it can dry out your skin. Use it every other day or every two days.

I dont think it is very good for acne. It is a great cleaner if you dont have acne but it isnt medicated. (that I recall) a great one for acne is called Acne Free. It is just like Proactive but cheaper. It's still spendy but way cheaper than proactive. I have seen it at Wal-Mart and CostCo.

I wouldn't use the normal skin one if you have bad acne that's easily irritated. I use it every day and my skin IS really soft and "Fresh" feeling, but my skin only has occasional breakouts and is generally quite clear.
They have one for sensitive skin, and one for acne prone skin which (I believe) has salicylic acid (which helps acne) in it. Try one of those, not the one for normal skin.

I tried it when I had acne & didn't like it. It irritated my skin.
I prefer Murad AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser or Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Face Pads.
