Urgent! How do hickeys come off you know how some parents are!

I giggled a little bit when I read your answer, because I remember my first hickey in high school...and I felt just as worried as I'm sure you are when I thought they would find out!

An adult I trusted told me to "brush" it (yes, with a comb or brush). I believe the idea behind this is that it gets blood flowing.

In any case, the hickey should start getting lighter soon and probably disappear entirely after a week (or less, depending on how dark the hickey is).

If your parents find out and are upset, it's best just to be honest. Don't lie, as that'll only make it worse--chances are, they'll see right through it too. Best of luck :)

Apply moist heat to the hickey to speed up the flow of blood vessels. A hickey is pretty much a bruise so the faster the blood comes to wash away the bruised parts, the faster the hickey goes away.

Another way is the pencil trick (although I've never tried it myself) First you take a pencil and apply pressure with the eraser. Then you put a spoon in the freezer and run a towel under hot water. Run the spoon on the hickey, then the towel, and repeat until it's gone.

If you're left with a red mark, take a brush and rub the hickey, if you're left with a purple mark take the eraser and apply pressure in a circular motion.

If worse comes to worse, I suggest concealer, and a lot of it.

They dont. Wait for it to heal. In the meantime use make up to cover it up. Whatever you do, dont start wearing turtlenecks or excessive covering up with sweaters etc. If you want, you can also place a band-aid over it and say you cut yourself with something (ie. paper cut, a burn, etc) Good luck!

While it heals...a few days to a couple of weeks...you can try to cover it with some oil based foundation, a scarf, or a high turtleneck. Or go see grandma for a few days.

They don't come off. They are bruises so you just need to wait for them to heal.

they dont, you have to wait, all it is, is the blood frm your body sucked to the skin you just have to wait. or put a band aid over it and say its a burn frm curling iron or straightener.

there is no way of taking them off, the most you can do is cover it up with makeup, try it, see how it looks
