i really need to loose weight for my next school year and i only have a month and a half before i start school pleaz help me i also lift weights does that help?

Yes, lifting weights helps. It builds muscle, which burns calories more efficiently than fat.

Do activities that you like-- shooting baskets, playing tennis. Walk as much as possible. TURN OFF THE TV AND COMPUTER (after you read my answer, of course!) and get moving!!

Do not starve yourself or skip meals. Try to eat a protein at each meal - that keeps you full longer. Eat more veggies and drink water, not pop.

Overall it is decreasing your intake while increasing your activity level and that will help you get into shape and lose weight. The goal is to be HEALTHY!

At your age you should only weigh between 130 and 170
