Began using Moxi box for HD quality tv, but cable man could not get HD to work on AV4. Running through component now, but cannot change from 480i to 720 or 1080, will not change. Is there anything I can do?

Began using Moxi box for HD quality tv, but cable man could not get HD to work on AV4. Running through component (red, blue, etc.) now, but cannot change set up on tv from 480i to 720 or 1080, will not change. Picture just becomes garbled lines. Is there anything I can do?

You can't change the TV setup. The TV always displays in its native resolution, whatever it is.
You need to change the output setup on the Moxi box.
If the Box outputs 720p or 1080i the TV will also display HD automatically.

I think by running through component you mean a Red Green Blue cable right? Not the Yellow video with red and white audio? That component/RGB cable should deliver HD. The reason might be that the source is not recorded or broad casting in 720 or better resolution. Other cables that support HD video are S-video and HDMI you could try those too.
