If you are vouched for and the service member picks you up at the visitor center then you may enter the base. At least that was the way it was in the 80's.

You have to be sponsored to get on base. This means that anyone with a valid military ID must take you to the visitor's center outside of the base and get you a base pass. You must show a valid picture ID and if you are bringing in a vehicle you must show the registration and insurance for the car. the pass is usually only good for 24 hours but can be extended depending upon why you need to be on base (like visiting family or whatever). Your sponsor will be responsible for you while you are on base.

Y do u need to get in? If you really have official business then they should supply u w/ entry, otherwise, u don't need to be there! And that's not how visitors work by the way...or passes...and even if u get on, u can't just go anywhere u want on a post/base, they restrict even us w/ military ID's out of certain areas...

Is there a reason you "need to get into McGuire Air Force Base"? If it is because you need to speak with someone or see someone there then go thru the proper channels and have that person meet you at the security gate.

I really doubt that you will find anyone to sign you in and walk away. To get a visitor pass the sponsor has to stay with the visitor.

no, not any person can sign for you. passes are daily and you must leave the base within 24 hours of coming board.

only someone willing to be entirely responsible for you can sign, as they must be with you at all times while you are on base.

why exactly do you need to get on base?

They have to be at least 18 y/o. They are sponsoring you, so they are responsible for anything you do on base. Like if you get pulled over for speading the sponsor (if a dependent sponsors you on, I don't mean them as a sponsor, but their sponsor, the military member) will have his/her command contacted.

The person is suppose to be on base with you.

You can get ontoo the base by going to the main gate and signing in. You need to show car registration, Drivers license and insurance. Then you need to tell them why and where you are going and you can get a day pass.

What "need" do you have that requires you to get on base?
