This is the verse you said: 5"A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God. "
In bible times men didn't wear pants, they wore dress-ish things, very similar to what women would wear. The only things that were different in dress, that I'm aware of, were head-scarves for women and jewellery.
That 'rule' seems to be about cross-dressing, deliberately dressing as a male or female for the fun of it. Today, women wearing pants is totally okay and normal and practical. (Men wearing dresses, however, would not be 'normal').
Christians and Jews today would say that many things in the old testament are 'morally right' only in the historical context in which it was written - some of those 'laws' don't apply today.
For instance, some things we (Jews, Christians) don't agree with or do today that that chapter in Deuteronomy also 'commands' are:
8"When you build a new house, you shall make a parapet for your roof, so that you will not bring bloodguilt on your house if anyone falls from it.
12"(G)You shall make yourself tassels on the four corners of your garment with which you cover yourself.
And another part says that you should stone to death a woman married if she is found to not be a virgin when she's married. No Christian or Jew today agrees with that.

Well I feel that it is up to the lady if she wears pants to church. I don't see anything wrong with them wearing pants.
In fact in the bible times womena and men both were robes and later on women were the first to wear pants before men did. Now I think that the pants should be nice not these wore out jeans and holes in them. They should be nice looking. I sometime wear pants to church especially in the winter time when the weather is cold I wear them under my dresses to keep my legs warm. so there isn't anything in the bible against them one way or another. O f course when I was growing up I wore only dresses to church because our church didn't allowed the women to wear pants only except at youth gathering. that was the only time.

There are some men who wear pants and probably shouldn't - but mu mu's are not a masculine option. But to answer the question - the wearing of pants, while uncustomary in certain settings, is entirely amoral.
I suggest you rethink how you read and apply scripture - or you might find yourself advocating the stoning of rebellious teenagers as is also prescribed in the O.T.

I've never really understood this, since the people in Biblical times all wore robes with a over-robe they called a coat, it all looked the same to me. so, how could a woman wear men's clothing when they were all dressed alike? nobody wore pants-never saw Jesus wearing them either. robe, coat, belt, sandals. maybe the difference was in head coverings. men wore small turbans or a cloth hat, women wore head scarfs. anyway, Biblical fashion is out of style now. No-one tells me what I should wear or not wear to church. If they did, that's the last time they'd see me or my money.

That verse does not support your argument.
It refers to the wearing of clothes that are not intended for use by the opposite gender. It would apply only to a woman specifically wearing pants made for men.

I'm sorry, but I am not about to run around in dresses, skirts, and pantyhose in the summer. Ick.
I wonder if the whole "only dresses and skirts on women" thing wasn't designed to make them more... accessible... to men...
