If you believe he can, then how do you know where your answer is coming from? If you believe he can't how come so many people receive so many different answers when they pray about the same thing? Wouldn't God be consistent?

Some of you are misunderstanding me. I don't WANT to pray to Satan, I want to know how we can garuntee the answers we get from praying to GOD are FROM GOD because Satan is a wolve in sheeps clothing and always tries to come to us in ways we won't recognize to make us think we're doing the right thing.

God states in the Bible that if we ask satan to depart from us he will flee. That is God's promise. We all have this little voice that lets us know right from wrong. God would never tell us to do wrong. When we go against this voice things go wrong. Satan doesn't wait for prayers. He knows our weekness and uses it to lead us astray. Have you ever noticed we seem to have an area in our life where we keep doing the same thing over and over and seem to always repeat the same mistake thinking this time will be different. That's satan pushing us to reject our inner voice.
The reason we receive different answers with the same prayer is because we are two different people that choose to act different under the same circumstance. I really try to be a good person but God won't make me. It is totally up to me. We are free to chose our own path. There would be no reason for our existence if God programmed us all . . Jesus took all our sins on himself so we could determine our own end.
In order to know who is answering us, we absolutely must be grounded in God's word. There is peace in you life when you truly follow God's word. Satan fills us with doubt. First of all satan wants us to stray.
Here I go preaching again. I trust God so much and never doubt the Bible, so I get involed in these kind of questions.
Sometimes I do this and the person will say I didn't answer the question. The truth is they are looking for a human answer and not a spiritual answer.

First of all I do not believe in Satan or the devil that many call him, I believe in God, and when I pray to God I pray in a private place, I do not share what I pray for with anyone, my relationship with God is vary private and strong, and I know in my heart that the answers I get are from God, I know this because the feelings I get from God are filled with love, joy, and happiness that are sometimes over whelming, God has always been consistent with me, he has given me all that I have asked for and I praise him for that, because I have never received anything negative it's always been positive, I do hope this has been helpful and May God Bless you.

I don't know if I believe in Satan in the classical sense. I think we make our own heaven and hell by what we think and do. When I pray, I feel it is a conversation between myself and God, and I feel totally comfortable during that time. I feel like I can address God as a profoundly kind and loving being who is not going to see me as inadequate or innately bad. Perhaps because I don't perceive Satan as an ongoing threat in my life, I do not feel afraid of him. I know that Mormonism always talks about Satan trying to lure you into doing terrible things.....I don't believe that happens. Again, I believe we make our own heaven and hell on earth by what we do. I am responsible for my own actions. If I screw up and do something stupid, I need to forgive myself, choose to do better the next time and move on. The idea of Satan has been used too much as a guilt trip to coerce people into doing things. That type of influence never really works. You have to have your own convictions to make lasting changes in your life. Don't worry so much about Satan, but keep praying for peace and clarity. Your prayers are heard and you are loved far beyond your (or my) understanding.
God bless.

I don't think he can, only God knows what is good for us. Sometimes what God knows is right and what we want are two different things though. I know when a prayer is answered and its the answer God wants me to get when I no longer feel scared about a decision. Once I have prayed and listen to the answer, if I feel peaceful I know that its right.

I believe Satan tries to mislead us in to thinking it was his doing that things might have happen due to his doings. Just remember to always give thanks to god for all the good things he does for us and once you have made this clear it actually puts salt on the wound towards the devil.

When we thank someone we usually put the persons name before the phrase so when we pray to god we always end the prayer in "God or Christ's name we pray". Therefore stating where the prayer is going to. We are not praying to the devil.

Yes the devil is disquised in sheeps clothing but the prayer in question was directed towards god and only he can make it happen. The devil can only make it difficult to happen but with the faith we have in god, all things are possible.

Hope I helped.

Well I don't personally believe in Satan but we do have another name for evil in my religion. If you have any doubt in your heart about the answer that you get, it probably isn't the one you were praying to. If things start to go wrong with the things you prayed about, it probably wasn't the one you were praying to. I truly believe that your heart will know when it is an answer from the one you prayed too.

Hugs

You can pray to whoever or whatever you like. So you could pray to satan with no problem... or even the tooth fairy if you wish.

The fact is, these prayers will never be answered as you are just talking out aloud to nothing or just thinking thoughts in your head. There is no actual connection to satan, jesus god, or the tooth fairy.

It all in peoples heads... if you think about it (from an outside perspective) the act of "praying" is actually a very strange ritual to carry out!!!

It has been proven time and time again that prayer does not actully work! Millions of catholics prayed for the last pope... and he still died anyway.. everyone does.

Millions and millions of people prayed for the safe return of a little girl who went missing in portugal. Did god or jesus answers those prayers? No. Its funny but when you really need a prayer answered, jesus NEVER ever delivers... just take all the starving, dieseased, aids ridden children in Africa... what's "good old" jesus doing about that lately? Nothing.. that says it all really

Good question. I guess he could, but he's not really into giving comfort... he's more a terrorist-type... intimidation, fear, confusion....

I think the variety of answers from God happens because of the variety of questions. I've done phone surveys, and I know for a fact that if you word a question just so, you can push people to give you the answers you want to hear.

Satam cam amswer prayers, in a way, but only if you let him. If you pray to God, in the name of Jesus, then only God can answer it. Satan has no power over prayers to God.
All people are different and have unique situations. He doesn't have to give the same answer to everyone because they might need a different answer that is best for their situation.

EDIT: you can guarantee that only God will answer your prayers by praying to God, not Satan. like i said, if you pray to God, Satan can't answer.

I believe so. "Satan is a liar and the father of lies". His express purpose is to lead people away form God. The Bible also tells us that Satan appears as an 'angel of light', and his demons as 'ministers of righteousnesses'. Sounds to me like he can answer prayers. I think Satan is far more powerful than most believe.
